Zantat Since 1985, Zantat has specialized in high-quality CC and innovative products for diverse industries, including recent expansion into bioplastic.

Guided by Reliability, Determination, and Resilience, we deliver solutions that enhance operations worldwide. 1986
Zantat Kuala Lumpur plant commenced operations to manufacture coated calcium carbonate with ball mill and supplied to PVC and rubber industries.

1997
Introduced a product specially developed for latex gloves industry โ€” Ultra fine Precipitated Calcium Carbonate Powder with the brand name of SUPERLITE, functioning as an anti-tack agent.

2000
Calrock, a sister company of Zantat, was acquired to produce coarse grade Calcium Carbonate powder.

2002
Zantat KL Plant developed high value-added Calcium Carbonate dispersion specifically for the latex gloves industry. Zantat is the first Calcium Carbonate supplier in Malaysia to introduce filler into latex gloves industry.

2005
Acquisition of a 10-acre limestone quarry in Ipoh, Perak.

2010
60-year mining licence granted and construction of Ipoh plant commenced.

2011
Zantatโ€™s first manufacturing plant in Ipoh commenced operations, with an annual production capacity of 90,000MT of Calcium Carbonate Powder.

2012
Zantat began its market expansion overseas and made India as one of its target markets.

2014
The second phase expansion of Zantatโ€™s manufacturing plant in Ipoh was completed, increasing the annual production capacity to 180,000MT.

2015
Total export quantity of the year reached 140,000MT.

2016
Zantat celebrated its 30th anniversary.

2017
Construction of third phase expansion initiated in the first quarter. The expansion consists of a 12,500 sq.ft. double storey office block and a 110,000 sq.ft. factory building.

2018
The third phase expansion of Zantatโ€™s manufacturing plant in Ipoh was completed and commenced operations in the third quarter to manufacture 100,000MT of premium grade Calcium Carbonate powder annually.

A throwback to 3 meaningful years at Bagan Pasir Laut.๐ŸŒŠ

True sustainability isn't a one-time eventโ€”itโ€™s a continuous commitment to solving environmental challenges at their root.

When over 30 Zantat staff members mobilized for a coastal cleanup at Pantai Bagan Pasir Laut in November 2024, we realized clearing the shore was only a temporary fix. To prevent pollution from reaching our oceans in the first place, we needed a long-term strategy built on infrastructure, system, and education.

Over the past three years, Zantat worked directly with the Bagan Pasir Laut community to address waste at the source:
๐Ÿ”น Building Infrastructure: Sponsored trash bins throughout the village to keep public spaces clean.
๐Ÿ”น Establishing Systems: Built a dedicated recycling collection facility and arranged scheduled waste disposal to ensure proper waste management.
๐Ÿ”น Educating the Next Generation: Our Marketing team, stepped into school at SJKC Bagan Pasir Laut to engage 38 local students on microplastics, spotting greenwashing, and stopping litter at the source.

Cleaning the beach protected our present. Building village infrastructure solved the root causes. Educating these young minds safeguards our collective future.

Earlier today, our Zantat KL team spent the morning at the Tzu Chi Jinjang Recycling Center for a hands-on session on recycling education and waste segregation.

Guided by the dedicated volunteers at Tzu Chi, our team gained valuable insights into proper waste sorting, understanding plastic recycling categories, and seeing firsthand how small recycling habits can make a huge impact on our environment.
