25 Mei 2026- PERHEBAT Courtesy Visit | Exploring Sourcing Opportunities for Skilled and Disciplined Workforce

Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) recently welcomed a delegation from the Perbadanan Hal Ehwal Bekas Angkatan Tentera (PERHEBAT) to explore workforce sourcing opportunities for our logistics and industrial ecosystem.

The discussion focused entirely on building pipelines to channel Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) veterans and PERHEBAT TVET trainees into fulfilling the talent requirements within PKFZ. Equipped with exceptional discipline, resilience, and strong technical skill sets, these individuals represent a highly valuable talent pool that fits the stringent workforce criteria of our free zone tenants.

Our sincere thanks to PERHEBAT for this collaborative initiative. This engagement opens up great avenues for the local industry to source competent, reliable, and competitive human capital.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚–𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

21 May 2026 – Nanning, China: PKFZ participated in the 7th China–Malaysia Port Alliance (CMPA) Annual Meeting held at Shangri-La Nanning, focusing on strengthening bilateral shipping connectivity and accelerating digital transformation initiatives between Malaysia and China.

Our CEO, Mdm Priscilla Lim, was invited as one of the key speakers and delivered a presentation titled “PKFZ Malaysia: The Strategic Gateway for Global Supply Chain Expansion”, highlighting PKFZ’s growing role in regional trade development and international supply chain connectivity.

During the session, PKFZ also showcased a successful case study involving a Chinese investor that established operations in PKFZ, successfully obtained Certificate of Origin approvals, and expanded exports globally. The company is projected to achieve up to 5,000 TEUs in future cargo volume growth.

Marking another major milestone during the event, PKFZ officially signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) for Phase 2: Smart Logistics & Digital Transformation Initiative with YQN Logistics, reinforcing our commitment towards developing a more technology-driven and efficient logistics ecosystem.

The MoC signing ceremony was represented by PKFZ Board Member Mr. Alex Fong together with Mr. William from YQN Logistics.

PKFZ remains committed to positioning itself as the preferred gateway and strategic industrial investment destination connecting businesses to global markets.
