𝑷𝑲𝑭𝒁 𝑺𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍, 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 & 𝑮𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 (𝑬𝑺𝑮) 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑

Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) successfully hosted its Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Workshop on 29 September 2026 at Level 1, PKFZ Office, in collaboration with DHL. Themed "Empowering Sustainable Growth Through ESG Principles and Circular Economy Practices," the workshop brought together tenants and industry partners for a day of learning, engagement and collaboration.

The programme featured insightful presentations from industry experts, including an ESG presentation by Madam Adeline Fam, Director of Business Development, DHL Supply Chain (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd; a session on Integrated Waste Management & Material Recycling by Puan Shamimi from KPT Recycle; and an introduction to the 5S Methodology by Encik Zulkarnain Zulkifli, Senior Manager and Country Safety Lead for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Business Continuity Management (BCM), DHL Supply Chain Malaysia.

Participants also took part in a range of interactive activities, including the Recycling & Product Booth Exploration by KPT Recycle, Circular Economy Sharing, a Go Green Kahoot Quiz, and the Safety 5S Workshop with an open Q&A session, fostering practical, hands-on engagement with ESG and sustainability concepts.

This workshop reflects PKFZ's continued commitment to championing sustainability, safety, and responsible business practices within the free zone community, in support of a safer, greener, and more sustainable Port Klang Free Zone.

Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) recently held a productive meeting with Dr. Tina of the German Embassy, as part of preparatory engagements ahead of an upcoming trade mission to Germany, which will cover key industrial and economic centres including Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, and Düsseldorf.

The meeting served as an important early step in the mission's planning, with discussions centred on identifying potential stakeholders such as government agencies, trade bodies, and industry players that PKFZ could engage with throughout the visit. This groundwork is expected to pave the way for more targeted and productive conversations once the delegation is on the ground in Germany.

Beyond stakeholder identification, the engagement reflects PKFZ's broader ambition to cultivate lasting strategic partnerships and establish new business relationships between Malaysian and German enterprises. As Port Klang Free Zone continues to strengthen its position as a key logistics and trade hub, initiatives such as this mission reaffirm our commitment to deepening Malaysia's economic ties with Europe and unlocking new avenues for investment and collaboration.

𝑷𝑲𝑭𝒁 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝑻𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒂 (𝑮𝒖𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒙𝒊) 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒐𝒕 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒁𝒐𝒏𝒆

Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, marking a new milestone in Malaysia-China economic cooperation. The MOU was signed between the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone Office and Port Klang Free Zone Sdn. Bhd. on 18 September 2026, and will remain in force for three years.

Under this agreement, both parties will work together across five key areas:
✅ Investment promotion and trade matching
✅ Industrial park and industry collaboration
✅ Information and policy exchange
✅ Two-way business matchmaking
✅ Talent and think tank cooperation

Notably, both sides will also explore opportunities to jointly expand the global halal market, combining Guangxi's raw material strengths with Malaysia's halal certification ecosystem.

This collaboration reinforces PKFZ's role as a key logistics and trade gateway along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, and reflects our continued commitment to connecting Malaysian and Chinese enterprises with new regional opportunities.

Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) is participating in Malaysia Maritime Week (MMW) 2026, held from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), alongside Port Klang Authority (PKA), Northport (Malaysia) Bhd and Westports Malaysia

PKFZ’s Board of Directors member, Alex Fong, joined the opening ceremony officiated by YB Loke Siew F**k, Minister of Transport, which highlighted Malaysia’s continued efforts to strengthen its position as a global maritime and logistics hub.

Throughout the event, PKFZ welcomed visitors to its exhibition booth, showcasing the Free Zone’s capabilities, developments and investment opportunities. The exhibition also provided a platform to introduce PKFZ’s role within Port Klang’s wider maritime and logistics ecosystem.

With Port Klang retaining its position as the world’s 10th-busiest container port, handling 15.14 million TEUs in 2025, the event highlighted the collective efforts driving the port’s continued growth and development.

As Malaysia works towards expanding its port capacity and strengthening its global connectivity, PKFZ remains committed to supporting investment, trade and the continued growth of Port Klang as a key maritime gateway for the region.

From 3rd to 8th August 2026, Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) CEO Priscilla Lim, Director Berry Ng , and Vincent Wang from the PKFZ China Representative Office led an official delegation across Shandong Province, covering Jinan, Zibo, Yantai, and Qingdao. The six-day mission aimed to strengthen business connections, promote investment opportunities, and explore new pathways for Shandong enterprises to expand into Malaysia and ASEAN.

In Jinan, the delegation engaged with the Shandong Maritime Global Service Center, the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, the CCPIT Shandong Council, and the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, focusing on cross-border investment, trade facilitation, and business matchmaking, and held a dedicated PKFZ Investment Promotion Roadshow to introduce local manufacturers to PKFZ's Free Zone advantages. The delegation also travelled to Zibo to visit the manufacturing base of Suntec, a PKFZ-based PVC composite flooring manufacturer, and continued on to Yantai, where they joined an investment symposium with the Yantai Municipal Bureau of Commerce and met the CCPIT Yantai Council to discuss future enterprise-matching support. In Qingdao, the team engaged with the Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone, its Enterprise Global Service Center, and the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and visited the production facility of Golden Horse Rubber (Fulin Tyre), a major Shandong-based investor operating a large-scale intelligent tyre plant in PKFZ.

Throughout the visit, PKFZ had the opportunity to listen to businesses, understand their expansion plans, and build stronger connections with the institutions supporting Shandong's outward investment. The mission further strengthens the bridge between Shandong and Malaysia, positioning PKFZ as a gateway for Chinese businesses seeking to establish a presence in Malaysia, access ASEAN markets, and connect with global trade networks.

10 September 2026: PKFZ baru-baru ini telah mengadakan Sesi Dialog Kastam yang kedua, susulan daripada sesi pertama yang diadakan semasa Hari Terbuka PKFZ bersama beberapa agensi kerajaan yang lain.

Sesi kali ini memberi tumpuan kepada urusan berkaitan Kastam, dengan memberi ruang kepada para tenant untuk mengemukakan soalan, mendapatkan penjelasan serta memahami dengan lebih jelas perkara yang berkaitan dengan operasi harian mereka di Zon Bebas.

Selain itu, PKFZ turut berkongsi kemas kini dan perkembangan terkini, termasuk perkembangan berkaitan pengaktifan semula LOB 2, bagi memastikan para tenant sentiasa mendapat maklumat mengenai perubahan dan pembangunan yang sedang berlangsung di PKFZ.

Bagi PKFZ, sesi seperti ini penting untuk memastikan para tenant mendapat panduan, maklumat dan sokongan yang diperlukan. Kami akan terus menyediakan ruang untuk berinteraksi secara langsung, mendengar keperluan tenant dan membantu memudahkan urusan mereka di Zon Bebas.
