We are pleased to invite scientists, engineers, students, industrial practitioners and public as a whole to the 2nd International Congress on Science & Technology 2018 (ICST 2) to be held in Phuket, Thiland from 6 - 8 December 2018. ICST 2 is the second in the series following the success of the first ICST last year in Bali despite the uncertainties due to the possibility of Mount Agung eruption. We were lucky it didn’t.

This year's theme would be to connecting more researchers in their respective field and also from different expertise. Submission and registration are now open. Come and join us this December at the beautiful island of Phuket. Further detail at

Dear colleague and friend.

We received many requests over email and phone to extend the Very Early Paper Submission Round deadline to the International Congress on Science and Technology 2017 to be held in Bali from 8 - 11 December 2017.

Therefore, if you wish to submit a late paper for this submission round, please do so as soon as possible and no later than this Friday, 12 May 2017. Paper submission after this Friday will be considered for Early Bird Submission Round with the deadline on 20 June 2017. Please use online submission form at http://transectscience.org/icst2017/submission.html to submit your paper.

Please take note that the registration fees for Very Early Paper Submission is USD 200 for student presenters/participants and USD 250 for non-students.

In addition, we received requests for abstract only submission without full paper due to respective organization’s policy of no paper publication is allowed. Therefore, we also invite abstract only submission where only abstract will be published in the program book. Invitation for abstract only submission will be made official at the congress website soon. You may upload the pdf file of your abstract in the paper uploading area instead of full paper.

Opportunity for Postgraduate Research Assistance at e-VIBS, Universiti Malaysia Sabah.

We are looking for Postgraduate Research Assistant to conduct research in our latest project on vibroacoustics of sundatang, a local traditional musical instrument. The project is funded by the Ministry of Higher Education under Fundamental Research Grant Scheme for two years. Applicants should have excellent first degree in Physics or Mechanical Engineering (First or Upper Second Class Honours), have the ability to work independently, and have good skill in communication and writing in English. Knowledge and skills in Electronics are advantages. Successful candidate will be paid salary of RM1,500 a month. The candidate will be required to spend 3-4 months in Keningau for the fabrication of sundatang and subsequently at e-VIBS, Universiti Malaysia Sabah to perform the vibroacoustics experiment and analysis. Research grant evaluation concluded. Two proposals were rejected for hiding latest own fundings. The rest were written without guidance from senior. Mentor-mantee should be adopted especially the juniors.

Reading this paper right now. When I was "actively" writing paper, similar approach I followed without the knowledge on this. I intend to share this with my postgraduate and undergraduate students soon. This is a good paper to read. Get your copy.
