On 12 May 2026, KKIP marked a key milestone with the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Kim Teck Cheong Distribution and Warehousing Hub at Industrial Zone 8, Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, signifying the commencement of a new industrial development within the park. The investment, amounting to RM150 million, is expected to generate more than 500 job opportunities.

The ceremony reflects the continued confidence of established industry players in Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park as a preferred location for strategic investment and longโ€‘term growth. Developments of this nature reinforce KKIPโ€™s role in supporting sustainable industrial expansion and economic progress in Sabah.

K.K.I.P. Sdn. Bhd. congratulates Kim Teck Cheong on this significant milestone and looks forward to the successful realisation of the project and its contribution to the regionโ€™s industrial ecosystem.

YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport cm Chairman of K.K.I.P. Sdn. Bhd. recently visited the construction site of KKIP Lorry and Trailer Parking Facilities, which are now 60% complete and expected to be ready within 3 weeks. This dedicated parking facility is part of the measures introduced to ease congestion at Sepanggar Container Port during its ongoing expansion, providing ample parking space for container trucks and trailer.
