Plunge In Column is temporary steel column used for underground structure such as KVMRT underground stations, which apply top-down construction method, to allow for deep excavation and at the same time provide temporary support to the permanent basement floors.
After permanent vertical supports are constructed, removal of the Plunge In Column required tedious planning and implementation. All the gears used were at least two times capacity of the weight of the cut members. We work in the safest manner to minimize disturbance to other trade contractor to ensure smooth completion of the mega project.

Structural Modification which consisted of (i. Structural Strengthening; ii. New Structural Support Framing; iii. Control Demolition) is a challenging process which required proper planning, detailed engineering study & implementation.
One of our previous work experience was in IKEA Cheras, where the clear height towards loading bay is insufficient. Structural Modification works carried out to the Post Tension Beam, to modify the Structural Framing and by reducing the beam depth, the sufficient clear height can be achieved.
