Repetition and texture as a way of thinking about the slow, often unnoticed rhythms that shape daily life. The vertical strokes evoke traces of routine—marks that accumulate over time, quietly mapping the presence of the body. At the centre, a rectangular block interrupts the flow, suggesting a moment where structure meets resistance, or where habit is briefly suspended.
Rather than offering a fixed meaning, the painting opens a space for reflection. It asks how repetition shapes memory, and how pauses—intentional or accidental—might create room for new ways of seeing.

Momen paling tulen dalam kehidupan seorang manusia—saat imaginasi belum mengenal sempadan, dan tangan bergerak lebih laju daripada bahasa. Setiap sapuan cat di sini berlaku tanpa teori, tanpa ragu-ragu, tanpa niat untuk “menjadi seni”—dan kerana itu, ia menjadi lebih jujur daripada kebanyakan karya yang lahir daripada latihan bertahun-tahun.
Dalam konteks seni kontemporari, karya ini berdiri sebagai peringatan bahawa ekspresi paling asli sering muncul sebelum kita belajar takut kepada kesalahan. Ia bukan sekadar lukisan; ia adalah rekod awal tentang bagaimana rasa, tubuh, dan dunia mula menyapa satu sama lain.

A kind of silence that isn’t still.
It trembles with the echo of movement, of emotion pressed into matter. The darkness becomes soft in its depth, and the raised strokes read like the inside of a sigh — a gesture that continues long after the hand has left the surface.
