Gadang Holdings Berhad (Gadang or the Company) was incorporated in Malaysia on 6th October 1993 as a public limited company under the name Lai Sing Holdings Berhad. It was listed on the second board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 2nd September 1994 under the construction sector. In 1997, Tan Sri Dato’ Kok Onn who is the Managing Director cm Chief Executive Officer became the major shareho

lder and took over the operations of the Company and renamed the Company as Gadang. Gadang was subsequently transferred to the Main Board (now known as Main Market) under the same sector on 24th December 2007. Gadang is an investment holding company while its subsidiaries are principally involved in civil engineering and construction, property development, water supply and mechanical & electrical engineering services. To gain a stronger footing in business with recurring and sustainable income, Gadang has made inroads into hydro power generation in 2014 by acquiring 60% stake in PT Ikhwan Mega Power, the holder of a 9 megawatt hydro power concession in Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Sumatera Barat for a period of 15 years. With its wealth of diverse experience and expertise, backed by a strong management team, Gadang stands out as a competitive player in each of its business segments. VISION

[🚦ROAD RANGERS IN SCHOOL 🏍️⛑️]

What happens when students, industry players & safety experts come together? A meaningful afternoon full of road safety awareness, interactive sharing sessions & good vibes 🙌✨

Gadang Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd was proud to organise the “Road Rangers in School” programme at SMK Desa Tun Hussein Onn, Kuala Lumpur aimed at creating more awareness on safe road behaviour among students 🚸🇲🇾

The programme was officiated by Brigedier Jeneral Azraf bin Omar from Jabatan Arah KPD, Markas Tentera Darat, Kementerian Pertahanan Kuala Lumpur, together with Encik Abdul Rizal bin Abdul Rahim, Pengarah Eksekutif of Gadang Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd.

[🚨 PREPARE • RESPOND • PROTECT 🚨]

Wisma Gadang just levelled up our safety game with an Emergency Drill involving our staff, ERT team and Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (APM).

This session wasn’t just theory; it was hands-on, real and super practical 🧠🔥
Focus was on Identifying & Handling Venomous Animals and knowing what to do when things actually happen at the workplace.

Big shoutout to APM 👏 who came in to:
🎤 Share the briefing
🧑‍🏫 Guide us through real safety practices
🐍 Demonstrate proper handling of venomous animal situations
🚑 Show how emergency response should actually be done

Our ERT team also backed up the whole flow to make sure everything ran smoothly 💪

What we covered:
🐍 Spotting venomous animals & understanding risks
🚨 What to do during emergencies (no panic mode)
🧤 Safe handling basics + prevention tips
🏢 How to evacuate properly & stay safe

Then came the real deal simulation; snake bite emergency 🐍⚠️
Alarm went off 🚨, building evacuation happened 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️, ERT jumped into action and APM handled a rescue-from-height demo 🧗‍♂️🔥

Everything ran smoothly and the drill was a success 🙌

Massive thanks to APM, ERT and all Wisma Gadang people for showing up, staying sharp and making safety a priority 💯
