🌟 Our Team at ARTEV 2025: Driving Innovation & Insights in EV Science 🌟
We are proud to have participated in the International Symposium on Assisted Reproductive Technology & Extracellular Vesicle (EV) Science (ARTEV 2025), held at the Waterfront Kuching Hotel from 23–24 October 2025 last week.
This year’s symposium, themed “Innovation and Insights to IVF & EV”, brought together leading experts from local and across the globe to share groundbreaking advances in extracellular vesicle (EV) research and its wide-ranging biomedical applications and discuss advancements, research, and challenges in fertility.
Our team’s focus was on exploring the transformative role of EVs in regenerative medicine — paving the way for safer, more effective, and scalable medical solutions.
Representing our institution with passion and pride were:
👩🔬 Norlaily Mohd Ali
👩🔬 Amy Chan
👩🔬 Jane Kaur
👨🔬 Salehuddin Asyraf
👩🔬 Nurul Syahirah
Together, they engaged in insightful keynote sessions, interactive discussions, and networking with thought leaders driving EV innovation worldwide.
📊 Our Team’s Research Highlights
🔬 Rapid Fire Poster Presentations
🌟Dr Norlaily Mohd Ali – Assessment of Safety, Cellular Uptake and Anti-Inflammatory Efficacy of MSC-Derived Extracellular Vesicles in COPD-Related Wound Healing Using Primary Human Airway Cells
🌟Salehuddin Asyraf – A Novel Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) Spectral Identification and Characterization of Wharton’s Jelly MSC-Derived Extracellular Vesicles
🎤 Oral Presentation
🌟Nurul Syahirah Abd Razak – Preclinical Evaluation of Wharton’s Jelly Mesenchymal Stem Cell Extracellular Vesicles for Safety and Therapeutic Potentials in Primary Mouse Bronchial Epithelial Cells and Mouse PBMC
We were inspired by keynote speakers including Ts. Dr Norhayathi Liaqat (President, MySEV) and Dr Lee Wai Leng (Monash University), whose sessions offered deep insights into the emerging frontiers of EV science and translational research.
The symposium concluded with an inspiring keynote address by YB Dato Sri Hajjah Fatimah Abdullah, Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, who emphasised the crucial role of research, innovation, and reproductive health advancement in supporting Sarawak’s sustainable development goals.
A sincere thank-you to the ARTEV 2025 organising committee for curating such a dynamic and thought-provoking platform that continues to drive collaboration, discovery, and innovation in the field of extracellular vesicle research.
Here’s to advancing science — together. 💫
