Behind every milestone is a team that laughs together, celebrates together, and creates memories along the way.

The moments captured in GQ All On Board are more than just highlights from a company trip. They're a glimpse into the friendships, shared experiences, and little moments that make working together so rewarding.

For a little while, the laptops were closed, the calendars were cleared, and it was all about enjoying the journey together. Whether it was sharing laughs, trying something new, or simply spending time as one team, every moment became another memory worth keeping.

Because the best teams aren't built only in meeting rooms or on project sites. They're built through the experiences that bring people closer, making every collaboration a little stronger and every achievement a little more meaningful.

As Green Quarter continues creating environments that enhance lives, that journey begins with the people behind every project—and the culture that grows with them.

Think you'd fit right in? Follow the journey and discover what it's like to grow with the Green Quarter team.

𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑷𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆—𝑮𝑸14: 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕

Fourteen years ago, Green Quarter was founded on a simple belief: creating environments that enhance lives. Today, that purpose continues to shape every project, every partnership, and every step forward.

GQ14: Vision to Impact marked not only Green Quarter's 14th anniversary, but also the official opening of its new office, a space designed to embody the principles it champions every day. More than a workplace, it reflects the belief that sustainability should be experienced, not just discussed.

The occasion also marked a proud milestone as the new office achieved four sustainability certifications: GreenRE INT Platinum, GBI Interior Gold, LEED O+M: Interior Gold, and the CarbonScore Interior Assessment. Together, these recognitions demonstrate Green Quarter's commitment to practising the very standards it advocates.

As sustainability has evolved from an aspiration into a business imperative, one principle at Green Quarter has remained unchanged:

"𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫."
- Nic Chin

That philosophy continues to guide Green Quarter in delivering trusted advisory, practical solutions, and measurable outcomes that create lasting value for businesses, communities, and the environment.

To every client, partner, collaborator, and member of Team GQ, thank you for being part of this journey. Your trust and collaboration have shaped Green Quarter over the past 14 years.

As a new chapter begins, Green Quarter looks forward to partnering with more organisations that share a vision for a more sustainable future. Whether through green building certification, ESG strategies, decarbonisation, or sustainable development, every meaningful transformation begins with a conversation.

Let's create environments that enhance lives, together.

Malaysia is rapidly emerging as one of Southeast Asia's leading digital infrastructure hubs. Since 2021, Malaysia has approved RM184.7 billion in data centre and cloud-related investments, while the country's data centre market is projected to grow from USD4.04 billion in 2024 to USD13.57 billion by 2030. This remarkable growth underscores the increasing importance of building data centres that are not only high-performing but also sustainable and resilient.

Our Technical Director, Ir. Julian Saw, recently delivered a session at the IEM Data Center Symposium 2026 titled "Understanding LEED for Data Center: A Practical Guide." in contributing to the industry's knowledge-sharing efforts.

The session brought together engineering professionals to explore practical strategies for integrating sustainability into data centre planning, design and operations. From energy efficiency and water stewardship to carbon reduction and environmental performance, Green Building frameworks such as LEED are becoming increasingly important in shaping the next generation of digital infrastructure.

We extend our sincere appreciation to The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful symposium and contribute to the conversation on sustainable data centre development.

We were pleased to have our Associate Director, Tan Sie Ting , share insights at a recent workshop organised by the 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐌𝐆𝐁𝐂) , where she explored the concept of Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV), its key parameters, and its influence on building performance.

Every sustainable building begins with thoughtful decisions long before construction starts. While OTTV is often viewed as a technical performance metric, its real value lies in its ability to influence how a building functions for the people who use it every day. Buildings that are designed with thermal performance in mind are often more comfortable, energy-efficient, and better prepared to meet future sustainability demands.

At Green Quarter, we believe sustainability starts with informed decisions. By empowering industry professionals with practical knowledge and data-driven strategies, we can collectively create environments that enhance lives while improving building performance.

Thank you to MGBC for the opportunity to contribute to meaningful industry discussions and knowledge sharing.

Looking to reduce energy consumption and improve building performance from the design stage? Connect with our team at [email protected] to explore how OTTV analysis and energy modelling can support your project goals.

Some milestones represent more than recognition — they reflect what becomes possible when sustainability, collaboration, and shared vision come together with intention.

At the heart of sustainable development is the intention to create better environments for people and the future. Through Green Quarter’s energy modelling and performance optimisation services, the project team was able to better understand and enhance the building’s energy performance from the early stages of development. This contributed towards achieving significantly lower energy consumption compared to many conventional office buildings — reflecting the meaningful impact thoughtful sustainability decisions can create over time.

We are honoured to have supported BHV Office Headquarters, also known as 1Lasam, in achieving GBI’s Highest Rated Building Award 2025. This achievement would not have been possible without Bonanza Venture Holdings continuous commitment towards sustainability and the collective efforts of the entire project team and fellow consultants. We are grateful for the trust and collaboration throughout this meaningful journey.

We were also honoured to participate in the recent GBI Inaugural Townhall, where industry stakeholders came together for constructive discussions on strengthening the green building ecosystem, improving collaboration, and shaping a more transparent and future-ready industry. It was encouraging to witness the soft launch of the NRNC v2.0 during the session — a meaningful step forward for the industry. Congratulations to Green Building Index on this important milestone.

At Green Quarter, we believe sustainability is ultimately about creating environments that enhance lives — healthier, more efficient, and future-ready spaces for the people who use them every day. Let's discuss more on this at [email protected]

The transition toward a circular economy is no longer optional — it is becoming a strategic imperative for businesses, cities, and the built environment. Recent discussions highlighted by BERNAMA and shared by Steven Sim Chee Keong 沈志强 reinforce the growing national momentum toward sustainability, resource efficiency, and low-carbon development in Malaysia.

We believe circularity must move beyond theory into practical implementation. As sustainability consultants, our role is not only to support certifications and ESG reporting, but also to help organizations redesign the way resources, materials, and assets are utilized throughout their lifecycle. From retrofit-first strategies and waste reduction frameworks to circular procurement, digitalization, and material recovery systems, circularity creates long-term economic, environmental, and operational value.

The Circular Economy Certification (CEC), is the first of its kind in the region, and we are proud to be part of this historic movement alongside fellow pioneer SMEs who share the same commitment to building a more sustainable future.

Every building holds the potential for a better future.

As our cities grow and evolve, upgrading existing buildings is becoming increasingly important in creating spaces that are more sustainable, efficient, and resilient for communities and businesses alike.

Beyond environmental benefits, retrofitting existing buildings can also cost up to 40% less than constructing new developments of a similar type — proving that sustainable transformation can deliver both practical and lasting value.

We are proud to see MyTOWN Shopping Centre featured in the latest publication by the World Green Building Council, highlighting how thoughtful retrofit strategies can create meaningful long-term impact.

Through strategic sustainability initiatives, the project achieved nearly a 30% reduction in Building Energy Intensity (BEI), improving overall building performance while supporting a lower-carbon future.

Inspired to create greener and future-ready developments? Investing in existing buildings today helps shape smarter, more sustainable, and more valuable spaces for generations to come. Let’s start the conversation at [email protected]
