The future of work is not about replacing people with AI. It is about empowering people with AI to think better, work faster, decide smarter, and focus on higher-value contributions. 🚀 From my latest TEDx talk: Do we really need more degrees in the age of AI?
This is one of the questions many students and young professionals ask me:
“Should I continue with an undergraduate degree, Master’s, or PhD — or should I focus on skills, projects, and industry experience?”
My honest answer is: it depends on your clarity, your learning style, and your career direction.

In the age of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Data Science, and digital transformation, you may not always need to continue undergraduate or postgraduate studies if you are already able to:
✅ Learn independently
✅ Build real projects
✅ Develop a strong portfolio
✅ Solve practical problems
✅ Use AI tools effectively
✅ Communicate your skills clearly to the market

Today, a solid portfolio can sometimes speak louder than a certificate — especially when it shows what you can build, automate, analyze, design, or improve.
However, formal study is still valuable if:
✅ You need structured guidance
✅ You are not yet a strong self-learner
✅ You need mentorship and academic discipline
✅ You want deeper research or technical knowledge
✅ You are still unclear about your direction after graduation
So the real question is not only:
“Should I study more?”
The better question is:
“What is the best path that helps me grow, build, and contribute?”

A degree can open doors, but your mindset, skills, portfolio, adaptability, and ability to keep learning will determine how far you go.

My message to students and young professionals is simple:
Do not study just to collect certificates. Study because you know why you are studying. And if you choose not to study further, make sure you are building something meaningful, practical, and visible.

The future belongs to those who keep learning, keep adapting, and keep building.
