A defining milestone for grid modernisation in Malaysia. We are pleased to collaborate with HyperStrong and Gamuda on the deployment of the landmark MyBeST Pekan Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project.

As a utility-scale grid-connected facility in Pekan, Pahang, this 100MW/440MWh project represents one of the nation's premier developments under the Malaysia Battery Energy Storage Programme (MyBeST).

By pairing HyperStrong’s hardware capabilities with Gamuda's civil ex*****on strengths and our extensive EPCC regional track record, this project will facilitate the integration of more renewable energy capacity into the grid system to support the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).

We look forward to a successful ex*****on phase as we work together to bring this national infrastructure online.

The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) has launched a new programme called SuRIA Home, aimed at expanding access to rooftop solar for Malaysian households and easing the impact of rising energy costs.

The announcement was made on 22 May 2026 by YAB Datuk Amar Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, at the PETRA Monthly Assembly.

To mark World OSH Day 2026 recently, ERS teams across our project sites came together to reaffirm our commitment to a holistic safety culture.

Beyond standard protocols, this year’s celebrations focused on the well-being of our people through mental health awareness talks, collective safety pledges, and heartfelt words of encouragement for our staff and partners.

We were also proud to recognise outstanding safety leadership through our annual awards, celebrating the subcontractors and staff who go above and beyond to keep our sites secure. By prioritising both mental and physical health, we continue to elevate industry standards and ensure that everyone returns home safely, every single day.

Not all green certificates carry the same weight. The one that matters is traceable, local, and redeemed to international standards. Under CREAM, you know exactly which rooftop your electricity came from.
Here's why that distinction matters.

A Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) is only as credible as its source. Buying one without a verified origin does not strengthen your ESG position, it just adds paperwork. Auditors and sustainability frameworks increasingly demand traceability, not just volume.

Under Malaysia's Community Renewable Energy Aggregation Mechanism (CREAM), green attributes belong to the Local Energy Generator and Aggregator (LEGA) by default. They can be transferred directly to your business as a Local Green Consumer (LGC) through the Bilateral Energy Supply Contract. The source is a verified rooftop solar plant within approximately 5km of your premises. Redemption is done in Malaysia following international standards.

One caveat worth knowing: if the LEGA sells Excess Energy back to the grid through NEDA, the green attributes for that portion transfer to the Single Buyer, not to you. This makes the Bilateral Energy Supply Contract worth exploring carefully before you sign.

Local source. Verified transfer. Internationally redeemable. That is what a credible REC looks like.
