🇧🇩⚡ Bangladesh Has Officially Entered the Nuclear Energy Era!
April 28, 2026 — a date that will be written in golden letters in the history of Bangladesh. The fuel loading process at the first unit of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant has officially begun, making Bangladesh the 33rd country in the world to step into the age of nuclear energy. 🎉
At KKR Move On, we are truly proud and deeply moved by this landmark achievement. This is not just a milestone for an energy project — this is a milestone for an entire nation.
Here is what lies ahead:
✅ Fuel loading to complete in ~45 days
✅ 300 MW of electricity to flow into the national grid by July–August 2026
✅ Unit 1 to reach full capacity of 1,200 MW by end of 2026
✅ Unit 2 to go live by 2027 — bringing total output to 2,400 MW
A brighter, stronger, and more self-reliant Bangladesh is no longer just a dream — it is happening right now. We believe this nuclear leap will transform our industries, uplift our communities, and open doors of opportunity for generations to come.
