Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has been given a mandate by Ministry of Higher Education to be the Lead University for Industry Centre of Excellence (ICoE) Biotechnology which specifically focus in the development of human capital in line with the government NKEAs. Main objectives of ICoE Biotechnology are to develop and produce quality graduates with
high skills which able to meet the criteria required by industry and reduce the unemployment rate among graduates of biotechnology in Malaysia. ICoE Biotechnology will focus in agricultural and biotechnology sector. Our ICoE program have been supported by Ministry of Education as well as Malaysian Biotech Corp to strengthen and secure an employment of Biotechnology graduates from various university throughout Malaysia. Currently we have collaborated with anchor company status like Malaysian Bio-Xcell and CJ BioMalaysia and now we are trying to collaborate with Bionexus status company to join ICoE Biotechnology.
