FEM CSR PROGRAM: BACK TO SCHOOL 2026

On 25th January 2026, the FEM Community Outreach Program (COP) team, in collaboration with Kulim Education Department (PPD), organized a Back-to-School Program 2026 at Kulim PPD’s Hall. About 60 students, 10 teachers and PPD staff, and 20 FEM volunteers took part. The program is one of our company’s initiatives in supporting the national education agenda, particularly in helping students from underprivileged families so that they can begin the school session with greater confidence and enthusiasm.

The FEM Executive Director, Dato’ Chong Nee Hwa, personally presented the essential school supplies such as school bags, uniforms, shoes, and stationeries to 20 students from each of the three selected schools; Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Selasih, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Kulim, and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Kelang Lama. In addition to receiving school supplies, the students enjoyed the opportunity to view and participate in the exhibitions featuring FEM’s technology, processes, and products.

The smiles and gratitude of the students were heartwarming and served as a reminder of the importance of empathy and social responsibility. This initiative has not only helped those in need but has also strengthened the spirit of unity within the FEM community.

KEDAH STEM FAIR 2025

The Kedah State government organized a Kedah STEM Fair 2025 on 13th & 14th October 2025 at Kulim Hi-Tech Park Sports Complex, Kulim, Kedah, attended by more than 2000 visitors, including school students, teachers, parents, industries and surrounding communities. The event was sponsored by 16 companies and organizations. The program’s objective is to raise awareness in secondary school students on the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for their future careers in order to meet the needs of talent in the industries. The focus is on nurturing passion in students so that they will further study in the STEM fields. The event involved STEM sharing & forum, exhibition booth, and STEM competitions.

Fuji Electric Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (FEM) was invited as an exhibitor, and conducted STEM programs during the event, which consists of Introduction to FEM Products & FEM Posters (Wafer Process) that offered participants an overview of Front-End Manufacturing processes and products, setting the stage for deeper learning about semiconductor technology and activities such as STEM Quiz, Microscope Visual Inspection, Photo Booth, Pick & Place Robotics and Conveyors demonstration, supported by a Technical Explanation by Engineers (Introduction to Automation), AI Machine Learning Recognition System, and Mini Sputtering Chamber. All these STEM activities and programs were designed to inspire curiosity, enhance understanding, and provide hands-on exposure to real-world engineering and technology applications. Moreover, we hope that the event contributes to the solutions of sustainable development goals by encouraging the students to consider future careers in engineering and manufacturing.

The two-day event has successfully fulfilled its objectives, and we look forward to conducting and participating in more events with the local community in the future.

FEM CSR PROGRAM: DONATION TO LESS FORTUNATE 2025

On 3rd August 2025, the FEM Community Outreach Program (COP) team, in collaboration with Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Taka, Serdang, Kedah, successfully organized a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program at the school, located in a rural part of the Kulim district. A total of 25 FEM volunteers participated in the event, delivering contributions to underprivileged families. These donations included stationery sets, daily food essentials, and gently used pre-loved items.

The FEM COP Chairman, Tuan Haji Mohd Monier, personally presented the donations to 20 students from SK Sungai Taka. He also visited the designated area where the pre-loved items were displayed for distribution. By giving away gently used clothing and other items, we not only make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need but also support sustainable and environmentally conscious practices.

Some of the items distributed were collected through our earlier COP Preloved Donation Drive. The smiles and gratitude of the recipients were heartwarming and served as a reminder of the importance of empathy and social responsibility. This initiative has not only helped those in need but has also strengthened the spirit of unity within the FEM community.

FEM Waterpark Hunt 2025 – Bukit Merah Laketown Resort

Throwback to an exciting S&R event for this month!

On 5th July 2025, our S&R team successfully organized the FEM Waterpark Hunt 2025 at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort. This year’s event saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 employees working together in teams to achieve a common goal, winning the 1st prize of RM1,000 cash.

The waterpark hunt consists of fun and team-building activities, and everyone enjoyed playing all activities, including Dive in Marble & Marketing, Pyramid Cup & Water T-Shirt, Water Highway & Twist Bucket, and Punctured Drum & Loop Tunnel. These activities helped strengthen their mental and physical fitness and endurance, while taking away their work stress.

The event was a great opportunity for employees from different departments to connect, collaborate, and strengthen bonds beyond the workplace. It was a celebration of unity, fun, and the spirit of teamwork. Everyone experienced a great time, and we look forward to more exciting games next year!
