COP Environmental Program: Tree Planting and Eco Park Restoration
On Saturday, 28 June 2026, Fuji Electric Malaysia's Community Outreach Program (COP) team organized an Environmental CSR Program at Hi-Tech Eco Park, Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), Kulim Kedah. The event brought together approximately 50 participants, including Fuji Electric Malaysia employees, company volunteers, and representatives from the Kulim Hi-Tech Park Local Authority (PBT).
The program was officiated by Dato’ Chong Nee Hwa, Executive Director of Fuji Electric (M) Sdn. Bhd. Among the distinguished guests in attendance was Ms. Sunita Binti Abdul Aziz, President of the Kulim Hi-Tech Park Local Authority. As part of the initiative, participants planted 20 Tecoma trees and repainted the park's pedestrian footbridge, enhancing both the park's greenery and its recreational facilities.
The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness among employees and the local community while supporting the Kedah State Government's target of planting 2.2 million trees by 2030. Through close collaboration with the local authority, participants played an active role in creating a greener, more attractive, and sustainable public space for the community.
This CSR initiative reflects Fuji Electric Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. Beyond improving the park's landscape, the program strengthened partnerships with local stakeholders and encouraged employees to participate in meaningful volunteer activities that contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
