Ujian hidrostatik ke atas dandang stim adalah ujian tekanan wajib untuk mengesahkan integriti struktur dan keselamatan.

Keperluan Utama Ujian Hidrostatik

Dandang Baharu:
Wajib diuji sebelum mula beroperasi dengan kadar tekanan biasanya 1.5 x ASWP (Approved Safe Working Pressure).

Selepas Pembaikan Besar:
Perlu dilakukan pada kadar 1.5 x ASWP selepas sebarang pembaikan pada badan dandang.

A hydrostatic test is a non-destructive method to check the strength and leak-tightness of pressure vessels, pipes, and tanks by filling them with a liquid (usually water) and pressurizing them beyond normal operating conditions, verifying structural integrity and detecting flaws like cracks or weak points before they become hazardous.

An unfired pressure vessel (UPV) is a closed container holding fluids (liquids/gases) under pressure generated externally, not by direct flame or combustion, like air receivers, storage tanks, heat exchangers, or sterilizers.

These vessels store energy and require strict design, fabrication, and regular inspection (e.g., by JKKP/DOSH in Malaysia, following standards like ASME) to prevent catastrophic failures from corrosion or damage, ensuring worker safety and legal compliance
