You bought engineering-grade material. Your part still failed. Why?

That datasheet — tensile strength, HDT, chemical resistance — is a promise, not a guarantee.

Those numbers only appear when the material is run on an industrial 3D printer built to hold them: a heated chamber, sealed moisture control, and a hardened hot-end that actually reaches PEEK and nylon temperatures. Run the same material on a desktop machine at default settings and you don't get 100% of the spec. You get a fraction — and a part that fails in the field.

The material doesn't perform. The process does.

That's why we don't sell you filament or a printer. We print the part for you — on industrial machines, tuned to each material:
→ Chamber and nozzle temperatures matched to the polymer, not a generic preset
→ Moisture controlled — nylon and PC lose strength the moment they absorb humidity (and Malaysian humidity is brutal)

3D printing, CNC, or injection molding? The wrong answer costs you weeks or thousands.
They're not competitors. They're three tools for three different jobs.

Injection Molding
→ Cheapest per part — but only after you pay for a mould
→ Only makes sense at thousands of units
→ Tooling lead time: weeks to months

CNC Machining
→ Excellent precision and surface finish
→ Great for metals and tight tolerances
→ But cuts away material — complex internal geometry is hard or impossible

3D Printing (Industrial)
→ No tooling, no minimum order — one part or fifty
→ Builds geometry the other two can't: internal channels, lattices, consolidated assemblies
→ Days, not weeks

👉Rule of thumb:
Low volume, complex, or urgent → 3D printing.
High volume, simple, repeatable → Injection Molding.
Metal and tight tolerance → CNC.

The mistake is defaulting to one for everything.

Consumer printer (no active chamber control):
✅Ambient cooling as print progresses (first layer 80°C, top layers 23°C)
✅Thermal stress → warping at edges, internal microcracking
✅Tolerance: ±1-2mm (corners shift 1.5mm as part cools)
✅Repeatability: ✗ (bed adhesion varies, nozzle drift, material batch variation)
✅Result: Brittle layers, prone to delamination under load

Industrial FDM with heated chamber (Quick3D):
✅Sealed chamber maintains 80-120°C throughout print
✅Controlled cooling gradient prevents thermal shock

SLS or MJF? Most people pick wrong — because they're told to pick the machine, not the part.

Both print nylon powder with no support structures. Both give you strong, functional parts. So what's the real difference?

SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) — a laser fuses the powder, point by point.
→ Best for: strong, isotropic parts, living hinges, snap-fits
→ Slightly rougher surface, more design freedom

MJF (Multi Jet Fusion) — an inkjet head lays fusing agent, then heat fuses the whole layer at once.
→ Best for: fine detail, consistent walls, higher throughput on batches
→ Denser surface, naturally grey (easy to dye black)

Here's the part nobody says out loud: the "right" choice depends on your part's geometry, batch size, and how it gets loaded in service — not on which machine sounds more advanced.

If you're specifying nylon for a critical application, they're specifying continuous carbon fiber. If they're using PEEK for medical devices, they're already checking our material certifications first.

The question isn't whether continuous fiber improves performance. It's whether you can afford to find out later that your supplier couldn't deliver it.
