Day 2 workshop @ UniMAS – Hands-On with ROS on Jupiter

Today, our students took a big leap into robotics by programming real robot movements using Robot Operating System (ROS). From simulating control commands to executing motion on actual hardware, the energy and collaboration in the room were incredible!

Through teamwork and curiosity, participants:
* Explored ROS nodes and topics
* Interfaced with sensors and cameras
* Tested their commands live on mobile robots

Today, MARS Malaysia Ai Robotics Society pay a meaningful visit to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) to explore collaboration opportunities in implementing AI and robotics programs for the benefit of society.

We were truly honoured to meet YBrs. Encik Abdullah bin Daud, Secretary of the STI Culture and Services Division at MOSTI, along with his dedicated team.

Representing MARS were our Advisor Prof. Ir. Dr. Azmi Hassan and President Prof. Dr. Jeffrey Tan Too Chuan who contributed valuable insights during the engaging discussion especially on MOSTI’s potential support for RoboCup Malaysia and the shared mission of nurturing future talents through technology.

Developing impactful projects is never easy, but it becomes a rewarding journey when we meet partners who share the same vision and passion for innovation.
