Materialise Company Name: MATERIALISE SDN. BHD. What’s more, through our software, we enable others to do the same with their own AM equipment and services.

Company Registration Number: 201101036108 (964242-P)
Through our work with Additive Manufacturing (AM), also known in the popular media as 3D printing, Materialise is helping bring great ideas to life. We are the innovators that you can count on

Ever since Wilfried Vancraen started Materialise, he and all of us who work here have dedicated ourselves to be the innovators that others can count on. Now, after more than 30 years of hard work and successful collaboration with others, we are happy to report that even those who never heard of Materialise have probably been touched by the work made possible by our products, services, and solutions. Through our work with Additive Manufacturing (AM), also known in the popular media as 3D printing, Materialise is helping bring great ideas to life. We work with others to put great products aimed at niche markets directly into the marketplace as well as helping make the prototypes of products later manufactured by the millions. Our software is also powering new innovations in biomedical research, helping others make discoveries that save lives. Furthermore, we are taking patient-specific healthcare to new heights by working closely with surgeons for the planning and ex*****on of complicated surgical procedures. Our work with surgeons and the improved medical solutions being created with our software are getting people back on their feet, and putting smiles back on patient’s faces. Materialise is also putting the power of Additive Manufacturing into the hands of everyday people. With an easy-to-use online service, now anyone can create a truly customized object, whether they are experts at computer modeling or beginners who are discovering 3D printing for the first time. We have also challenged some of the world’s top designers to use this technology in the creation of an award winning line of 3D printed objects available for sale worldwide…or from our own store in Brussels, the world’s first store dedicated to 3D printed design. We are Materialise and we are all around you, making the world a better and healthier place to live.

Anyone involved in adopting new tools and technology in hospitals knows how complex the process can be. It demands coordination across clinical and administrative teams to standardize systems and workflows.

In the US, that complexity extends beyond individual hospitals. Reporting Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) codes to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is crucial for sustainable reimbursement.

For personalized patient care, the introduction of CPT® codes for 3D digital modeling marks an important milestone. But the work doesn't stop there. Now, we need to put them to use.

A self-made clinician portal must serve all its audiences effectively, but this poses hidden challenges as your medical device company grows. Do you invest in new product capabilities or shift resources towards security updates, compliance remediation, and platform maintenance?

In part two of our case management series, we discuss why the “build vs. buy” debate is the wrong one to have. Rethinking what you want from the platform and how you can have a long-term commitment to compliance, security, maintenance, and evolution under stricter regulatory pressure should be the questions you answer. https://mtls.am/4dsyHd6

Shared by our Badrul Irfan Badrul Hisham : A weekend well spent with the Structural Heart team! 🌊🏕️

From camping by the beach in Port Dickson (whether in tents or cozy cabins), to preparing dinner together, enjoying a BBQ and potluck, roasting marshmallows, and taking part in fun team activities 🤼‍♀️ it was a weekend filled with laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

For some of us, it was our very first camping experience, making it even more special. Beyond the games and good food, it was a great opportunity to strengthen our bonds, create lasting friendships, and appreciate the amazing people we get to work with every day.

Here's to more shared adventures, stronger teamwork, and many more memories together! 💙

What does award-winning research look like?

Florianne van Schaardenburgh used a statistical shape model of the humerus to help predict the premorbid shape of a fractured humerus and that's what won her first place in the 2024 Mimics Innovation Awards.

The Mimics Innovation Awards recognize innovative research that advances healthcare and personalized treatment.

When complexity increases, case volumes grow, and personalization at scale becomes central to the future of your medical device business, a case management platform is an operational must, not a nice-to-have.

In this article, we explain why you need a case management platform instead of relying on ad hoc tools, and how it increases visibility for clinicians, reduces ambiguity between internal teams during case handovers, and introduces predictability into case flows — from intake to delivery. https://mtls.am/4h0i4Yy

We’re proud to announce that we’ve been selected by the Belgian Cyber Force and Royal Higher Institute for Defence to lead an innovative new project — as part of the STRIKE IT 2026 program.

Together with a consortium that includes INNOCOM and Sirris, we’ll deliver a proof of concept demonstrating the end-to-end digital manufacturing capability of 3D printing for securely producing spare parts.

As coordinator, we’ll provide the IT infrastructure and lead the integration of the Identify3D digital manufacturing access control technology into Belgian Defence’s workflows. This is a significant milestone for additive manufacturing and will show the technology’s competencies in real-world use cases and critical industries, such as defense.

Reposted from Sara Zallea's (Medical Service Engineer) LinkedIn page

What an amazing year.

May marks my 2nd year in Materialise Malaysia and it has been nothing short of remarkable. Ofcourse, work kept me busy but it never limit me to just my daily tasks.

With the support of an incredible team, led by Farawahida Ghazali & Ts. Mardiana Md Radzi, I had the opportunity to learn, grow, and enjoy doing what I love.

From hosting MatMal 25th Anniversary Dinner, to officially joining the Open Mic squad. I’ve had the chance to connect with amazing people beyond my team and department. I’m also incredibly grateful to have been appointed as one of the team’s Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and to receive the Rising Star Award.

Milestones like these continue to motivate me to become a better engineer. Most importantly, a better Sara.

None of this would be possible without the guidance of the best trainer Ahmad Aizat Abdul Aziz. I’m especially proud to have been part of the training journey as our team grew from 10 members into a 33-person squad (and still growing!).

A special shout out to Chua Yew Chuen & Tang Chi Huey for being my Day 1s. To my friends and the Structural Heart team, your energy and drive inspire me every day I contribute more to our goals.
Here’s to many more milestones, patients helped and good company.
