When did all these Car Coating started?
Car Coating from Japan came to Malaysia est. in 2009. Then came others like South Korea & Taiwan.
Why has got to tbe in this arrangement? Well, it's simple.
Japan colonized South Korea for about 40 years or more.
They also colonised Taiwan for about 60 years. Obviously, cross habitation occured. Afterwhich, aside from culture, economic exchange or transfers happened.
Japanese were exporting cars then during the early 1930s.
Rust & paint issues were acute. So, a shout out to US is needed for technical assistance. Imagine then such technology was in the 1930s or the most 1940s. It is the 21st Century now.
However, the techno was fine and did worked out well. But we must remember that Japan, South Korea & Taiwan do not have thermo shocks like in Tropical or countries with High UV exposure. And to own a car, one must have a garage...not sure if it is indoor or outdoor. Nevertheles, kind sunny weather. So, then Sol-Gel technology (Perhaps, not even improved for 21st Century) is accepted or applicable.
Today with weather change, El-Nino, La-Nina, the weather tango so extremely, these demands higher technology.
dk did not adopt this "Sol-Gel" named Glass coating, Titanium coating, Glaze coating or have you then between 2009 to 2019.
We know it has a lot of issues such as spider web cracks, water spots that looks like leprosy on the surface of the car.
dk experimented new chemcals in 2019 and started production in 2020 durin C19. We suffered a lot because of c19 export and domestic wasn't possible. But we are out of the woods.
After C19, almost 80% of these brands from these part of the world got wiped off. But they existed since 2009!
Why do you think they are gone and dusted?
