𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗠 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Here is a look back at the highlights of Leader Energy’s participation in the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, we showcased how our capabilities across utility-scale renewable energy, transmission infrastructure, the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS), commercial and industrial (C&I) solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) support the region’s energy transition.

Visitors explored our CRESS Accelerated Package, interactive energy savings calculator and renewable energy solutions, while engaging with our team on practical pathways towards renewable energy adoption.

We were also honoured to welcome Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj; YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister II and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation; and YB Dato’ Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, to our booth.

Recognising the operational excellence of our transmission assets in Cambodia and their role in strengthening regional grid reliability and resilience.

𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 – 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮
Recognising our 1.45 MWh sodium sulphur (NAS®) battery energy storage and grid-connected solar integration pilot project, demonstrating how energy storage can support renewable energy integration.

Our Group Chief Operating Officer, Ronnie Koo, received the awards on behalf of Leader Energy.

This recognition belongs to our teams and partners, whose dedication turns ambition into impact. From advancing energy storage solutions to strengthening essential transmission infrastructure, their work drives our commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable energy.

Leader Energy marks a new milestone with the groundbreaking of our 100 MW/400 MWh grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Pajam, Negeri Sembilan.

Developed under Malaysia’s MyBeST Programme, the project will help strengthen grid flexibility and reliability, supporting the integration of more renewable energy into Peninsular Malaysia’s electricity system.

Building on our experience with the LSE II battery storage pilot in Kedah, this project represents our next step in delivering energy storage at scale. With commissioning targeted for 2027, we are proud to contribute to Malaysia’s energy transition and its ambition to achieve 70% renewable energy capacity by 2050.

Industrialisation, manufacturing and infrastructure development are driving increasing demand for reliable energy, particularly in Northern Vietnam.
