Financial Controller

Join GIIB Group and play a key role in strengthening financial discipline, operational performance and sustainable business growth.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Financial Controller to join our team.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Financial Controller will serve as the lead accounting and internal financial management resource, overseeing day to day accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow management and internal controls.

This is an opportunity for a finance professional who can combine strong technical expertise with sound commercial judgement and leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Accounting Operations

- Oversee billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll functions.

Financial Reporting

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting and financial compliance standards.

Cash Flow Management

- Monitor and manage operating cash flow in collaboration with Treasury and HBU, with regular reporting to top management.

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Coordinate the preparation of budgets, monitor financial performance and identify spending variances.

Internal Controls

- Develop and implement effective financial policies and controls to safeguard company assets and maintain regulatory compliance.

Audit Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit requirements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Professional Qualifications

- CPA, ACCA and/or CMA qualification is preferred.

- Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is preferred.

Experience

- 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting and managerial experience. Experience within a listed company will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

- Advanced proficiency in SAP, accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Professional Attributes

- Strong leadership capabilities, attention to detail, analytical thinking and excellent communication skills.
