Vacancy Quantity Surveyor
Job Responsibilities
*To prepare BQ, tender document, cost comparison for tender project including source and negotiate price with suppliers and sub-contractors, etc.
*Project administration and documentation include preparation of sub-contract, VO, interim valuations and final account, etc.
*To handle on-going project and resolve contractual issues with clients.
*To prepare & submit progress claim to clients and update progress claim report monthly.
*Play an important role in the pre-contract or post-contract and procurement administration.
*Check for materials requisition and ensure materials are accurate within the project budget.
*Monitor overall project delivery and ensure materials are in accordance to contractual items and conditions.
*To forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
*To track changes to the construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
*To liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
*Maintain a positive relationship with all stakeholders.
*Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
*Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
*Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
*Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
*Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
*Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
*Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
*Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
*Traveling from the office to various sites if required.
*Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time by the Management
Job Requirements
*Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Building, Construction or equivalent.
*Able to work independently and under pressure.
*At least two (2) years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
*Able to start work immediately.
*Able to work to over hazardous work environment (site).
*Willing to travel
*Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin
