Engtek Penang has been recognised at the national level with a Silver Award under the Smart Factory Excellence & Recognition (SFERE) programme, a key initiative driven by Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030). The award was presented during the SFERE Outreach Session and Smart Factory Award Ceremony held on 18 May 2026 at Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City, Penang.
SFERE serves as Malaysia’s flagship programme to assess and recognise manufacturing companies that have successfully transformed into smart factories. It plays a vital role in advancing the nation’s ambition to develop 3,000 smart factories, while strengthening industrial competitiveness and accelerating digital adoption across the sector.
