Far East History

Formed under the name Shannon Holdings Sdn Bhdin 1986 by a group of businessmen, the company was involved in general trading and manufacture of packaging products including carton boxes. In 1987 the company was taken over by Far East Packaging Pte. Ltd and later restructured into a corrugated carton products manufacturer. Since then continuous improvements and innovativeness has transformed this company into a highly efficient, reliable and a customer orientated company. In the year 1993 the company was fully computerized and this exercise saw the tremendous improvements in the operations. The management developed a very result oriented workforce and set objectives like zero defects, zero delay in 1996, and optimum productivity with minimum wastage in 1998. Upon moving into the factory in year 2001 the company automated its operations, taking into considerations the current expectations by the market on quality and service. Within the same year the company achieved the prestigious MS ISO 9001 – 2000 Quality Management System. The company will keep developing initiatives directed to continuous Improvement in Quality and Service. The company has set goals to achieve ISO certification for safety and environment management (ISO 14,000). The company has achieved continuous sales growth and diversification of all kinds.
