Last Friday, Gapma successfully organized the Breast Cancer Awareness & Free Clinical Breast Examination Programme, in collaboration with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia.

The session was led by a professional trainer from BCWA, who delivered an insightful talk on breast cancer awareness, early detection, and the importance of regular health screening. The programme also included a free Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) session for participating staff.

Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen awareness on women’s health, encourage early detection practices, and support a healthier workplace culture where prevention is prioritized.

We extend our appreciation to all participants for their engagement and openness throughout the session.

Together, we continue to promote awareness and proactive health management within our organization.

In GAPIMA, we celebrated not just years of service, but decades of dedication, commitment, and memories shared together as one family

After many years of service beyond their official retirement age, we bid farewell to two very special members of the Gapima family who will officially retire at the end of this month:

Pn Zaleha – 31 years of service and retiring as Head of Billing, whose contributions and commitment have left a lasting impact on the company and all of us around her.

En Rahim – 22 years of service and retiring as Senior Supervisor, Admin, ensuring our fleet compliance and supporting our operations with dedication and responsibility.

Both En Rahim and Pn Zaleha have been more than colleagues — they have been father and mother figures to many in the office, always ready to guide, support, and share their experience throughout the years.

The farewell session was filled with heartfelt speeches, token presentations by our Chairman and CEO, emotional moments, laughter, and of course, a memorable makan-makan session together.

Thank you for your years of loyalty, hard work, and the countless memories created with the Gapima family. Your contributions will always be appreciated and remembered.

Wishing both of you good health, happiness, and a wonderful new chapter ahead.

Our 2025 Annual Sports & Recreation Event brought together around 80 colleagues for a day filled with bowling, futsal, BBQ dinner, and night performances. It was truly a celebration of teamwork, wellness, and appreciation for the people behind Gapima’s success.

We were also honoured to have our CEO and Directors joining us, making the event even more meaningful for everyone involved.

The fun didn’t stop there — our HQ and Port Klang teams travelled together by bus and even squeezed in a short trip to Kuala Terengganu before heading back to Shah Alam.

Moments like this remind us that teamwork goes beyond the workplace. Thank you to everyone who participated, organised, and made this event memorable. Looking forward to the next one!

Gapima’s Executive Chairman, Tuan Johari Arbain, was invited to deliver the keynote speech at Akademi Kepimpinan Pendidikan Tinggi (AKEPT) for the Mentoring in New Dimension (MIND) for Future Leaders program, organised by IIUM and KPT.

His session, “Transforming Mindsets: Empowering People, Inspiring Change – A CEO’s Perspective,” highlighted that true organizational transformation begins with individual mindset change, empowerment, and trust.
