A great weekend with the Team ITMAX!

ITMAX took part in the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) Corporate Challenge on 3 October 2026 as a fun way to get moving together. Each runner’s entry also supported a donation to one of KLSCM’s charity partners.

ITMAX showcased its latest AI-powered smart city technologies at NVIDIA AI Day Singapore today, highlighting how its SamurAI platform makes public safety surveillance and city management operations more efficient.

Key highlights:

* SamurAI uses AI to analyse CCTV footage and identify incidents automatically.

* NVIDIA made its Cosmos 3 AI technology available as an open-source foundation. ITMAX repurposed and built on this technology as well as adapted it for local Malaysia, enabling AI to understand what is happening in video footage and check whether an alert is a real incident.

* ITMAX also demonstrated her pre-launch home-trained Video Language Model (VLM) platform where promising internal trials has shown that it can improve significantly the management of simultaneous higher volumes of event alerts more effectively.

* The enhanced SamurAI has also helped reduced materially the time needed to investigate any specific incidences from among the Petabytes of video in the city storage database.

* ITMAX also unveiled "City Maestro", which is a "Malaysianised" Speech-based AI module that allows City Managers to investigate and retrieve any data or insights from the city databases removing the need for technical understanding of the system .

Overall, the latest developments show ITMAX moving beyond just CCTV monitoring and event detection towards AI that can understand, verify and respond to events, with potential applications across more Malaysian cities.
