🌊 Empowering Communities Through Innovation: UTP Students Present Micro-Hydro Turbine Prototype!
On 21 July 2026, the Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Perak (JPN) , in collaboration with the Engineering, Prototyping and Innovation Centre (EPIC) , organized the Kursus Pembangunan Projek Inovasi Berimpak Tinggi Peringkat Negeri Perak 2026 at Seminar Room 6, 7 & 8, Chancellor Hall, UTP.
As part of this University Social Responsibility (USR) programme, five of our Mechanical Engineering students—Mohammad Sultan Albany, Muhammad Ziyad Zubaiyr, Muhammad Rafif Rahizal, Muhammad Asyraaf Farhan, and Ahmad—were invited to present their insights on the development of a micro-hydro turbine prototype for power generation.
Their presentation showcased the integration of engineering innovation with community needs, highlighting the potential of small-scale renewable energy solutions to benefit local communities. This initiative reflects UTP's commitment to nurturing students who are not only technically proficient but also socially responsible.
A big thank you to JPN Perak and EPIC for providing this platform, and congratulations to our students for representing UTP with excellence!
