Implementation of Quotation Fee

Dear Valued Customers,

Due to the increasing number of quotation requests we receive daily, UTWC – Urban Timber Woodworking Company has decided to introduce a structured quotation process to ensure we can continue providing every customer with the professional attention and accurate pricing their project deserves.

Preparing a detailed quotation involves more than simply providing a price. It requires time, reviewing project requirements, assessing materials, calculating construction costs, consulting with suppliers and preparing a realistic proposal based on each customer's individual needs.

As our daily enquiries continue to grow, these processes require considerable time and resources. To manage this effectively and maintain our service standards, we have implemented a standard quotation fee from N$150.00 per quote.

Why are we introducing this fee?

The fee helps us cover a small portion of the administrative, planning and preparation costs involved in processing quotation requests. It also allows our team to dedicate sufficient time and attention to customers who are genuinely considering moving forward with their projects.

The good news is that you don't lose your quote fees paid!

When you decide to proceed and officially confirm your project with UTWC, the full quotation fee will be credited towards your total project cost.

In other words, the quotation fee is not an additional charge when you proceed with construction.

We understand that customers need to compare prices and explore their options before making important financial decisions, and we fully respect that. This small fee simply helps us maintain a fair, practical and sustainable quotation process while continuing to deliver the quality service our customers expect.

PERMANENT A-FRAME CONSTRUCTION IN NAMIBIA

Building Plan Approval, Permits & UTWC Client Assistance

Based on clarification received from the relevant local authority, permanent A-Frame structures may be submitted for approval and constructed in Namibia, provided that the proposed development complies with the applicable municipal building regulations, zoning requirements, structural requirements and approval procedures.

The A-Frame architectural form itself does not prevent a structure from being considered for permanent construction. As with other permanent buildings, the required building plans and supporting documentation must be submitted to the relevant local authority for assessment and approval before construction commences.

UTWC ASSISTS CLIENTS THROUGH THE APPROVAL PROCESS

As part of our A-Frame project service, UTWC – Urban Timber Woodworking Company assists clients with the preparation and coordination of the documentation required for building-plan approval and construction permits.

Depending on the project and the requirements of the relevant local authority, UTWC can assist with coordinating:

- Site and proposed development information;
- Floor plans;
- Elevations and sectional drawings;
- Foundation details;
- Structural drawings and engineering requirements;
- Construction and material specifications;
- Supporting documentation required for the building-plan application;
- Agrément certification or other material/system certification where applicable;
- Coordination with relevant architects, engineers and other appointed professionals;
- Local-authority building-plan submission requirements;
- Responses to technical queries or amendments requested during the approval process; and
- Coordination of the project from approved design through construction and final completion.

PERMANENT A-FRAME CONSTRUCTION

Once the necessary building plans, permits and applicable approvals have been obtained, the A-Frame may proceed as a permanent structure, subject to the approved plans and conditions imposed by the relevant authority.

UTWC therefore assists clients not only with the design and construction of their A-Frame, but also with navigating the required planning, documentation and approval process to help move the project from concept → design → approval → construction → completion.

Final approval and the issuing of permits remain the responsibility of the relevant local authority and are subject to the specific property, zoning, structural design, materials and applicable regulations.

UTWC Two Tower Jungle Gym

The **UTWC Two Tower Jungle Gym** is a durable, adventure-focused outdoor play structure designed to combine active play, physical development and imaginative fun in one impressive installation.

The design features **two elevated timber towers**, each measuring approximately **1.5 m × 1.5 m**, connected by a **2.5 m suspension bridge**. Both towers are finished with **corrugated pitched roofs**, creating a strong, practical and attractive playground feature suitable for homes, schools, lodges, guest farms and other recreational environments.

**Tower 1** is fitted with an access ladder, while **Tower 2** includes a climbing wall with colourful climbing grips. The platform height is approximately **1.5 m**, with an overall structure height of approximately **3.2 m** and an overall length of approximately **5.5 m**.

The jungle gym is constructed using **quality treated timber**, carefully sealed for outdoor conditions.
