Site Supervisor โ Reagent Plant (MNO2)
Location: Rรถssing Uranium Mine, Namibia
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (Operations Support Function)
Reporting to: EISS Site Manager
Erongo Industrial Supply Services CC is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Site Supervisor โ Reagent Plant to oversee operations within the Reagents Section at Rรถssing Uranium Mine.
Primary Purpose of the Role
To supervise the safe and continuous 24/7 operation of the Reagent Plant, ensuring uninterrupted supply of iron source and manganese to the Leach Plant, while maintaining full compliance with operational, safety, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate reagent plant operators and general workers.
Ensure uninterrupted batching and supply of reagents to required density and quality specifications.
Oversee safe offloading of reagent bags using overhead/mobile cranes.
Monitor tank levels, reagent consumption, and batching records.
Ensure completion and submission of shift log sheets and operational reports.
Enforce strict adherence to PPE, HSE standards, and permit-to-work procedures.
Conduct and document task-based risk assessments and safety inspections.
Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure timely permit confirmations.
Attend operational planning, handover, and performance meetings.
Ensure housekeeping, dust suppression, and waste management compliance.
Report operational constraints, breakdowns, and deviations within prescribed timelines.
Drive KPI performance above 95% to avoid contractual penalties.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 yearsโ experience in a processing plant environment.
Minimum 1-year supervisory experience.
Valid Code BE Driverโs License.
Strong communication skills (English โ read, write, speak).
Medically fit to work on a mining site.
Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
Additional Requirements
Proven knowledge of plant safety systems, lock-out/isolation procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
Ability to lead and manage teams in a high-risk processing environment.
Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.
Commitment to zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs.
Ability to ensure full compliance with HSE and Critical Risk Management standards.
