Bringing over 350 industry speakers, 21 ministers from 7 countries, and over 200 booths, it is remarkable for Pamwe Royalties & Streaming as we network with key stakeholders and potential clients bearing only one strategy in mind - to unearth Africa’s mineral wealth through sustainable capital investments.

Along with insightful discussions between global leaders and industry heavyweights from the mining world, the event provided us an opportunity to network and present our unique royalty financing model to the world!

Pamwe Royalties&Streaming (PTY) successfully completed its first ever Investor Engagement Session, which was held between 20th October 2021 to 10th November 2021.

The aim was to inform the prospective investors about an opportunity for shareholding in Pamwe, and create a constant and rewarding pool of royalties and streams(read “investments”) on Gold & Silver mining projects.

The founding Team’s expertise in mining, ranging from Geology, Mining Engineering, Finance, Business Management and Law; make it easy not only to enter into business partnerships with African and Latin American mining companies, but also to scrutinize their specific projects through a comprehensive Due Diligence process in order to ensure NPV, IRR would make economic sense for Pamwe’s esteemed shareholders.

The Investors Engagement Sessions were attended by a total of 61 prospective investors, and the process will carry on from here until prospective investors submit their Private Placement Offers.

Streaming&Royalty options as Alternative Finance for Mining work by offering debt like structures which reduce stress on the mining company’s balance sheet, & this is of startling advantage noting that investment finance is recouped after long ‘Life-of-Mine’ periods and often, the mining company will endure industry’s cyclical nature - i.e times of low commodity prices.

Streaming&Royalty options, as an additional financing mechanism for mining projects offer an advantage in that during periods of suppressed commodity prices; the borrower (i.e the mining company) will only be under obligation to amortize the ‘debt-like structure’ by paying a percentage of the prevailing market price termed Net Smelter Royalty ’NSR’. This way, when prices fall, the borrower has flexibility not to payback a fixed premium when they cannot afford it, but more market related premium.

“Royalty and streaming groups make an attractive investment for institutional investors who are looking for strong returns during a time of record-low interest rates. Investors do not have to invest directly into the mining company but can take advantage of potential upside and income generation from a portfolio of mining projects. These vehicles are contributing to the increased investment in African mining from investors without historic exposure to the metals and mining markets in Africa. We saw this trend improve during 2020 given the renewed focus on African precious metals thanks to rising commodity prices, and we expect it to extend to African base and battery metals as nations move towards renewable sources of energy.”

Although the concept is fairly straight-forward, Royalty & Streaming is a difficult investment to make. However, these difficult investments are far more superior business models, seeing;

- High-profit margins
- High revenue per employee
- Rising with the market at the same rate as Au & Ag
- Falling less during commodity busts,
Rendering these investments as more stable than ordinary fund managers, with great performance over time.
