A journey worth travelled.

IT BOILS DOWN TO IMPACT & LEGACY - I BELIEVE
I passed by a few minutes ago, & couldn't resist taking these 2 pics of the completed building, functioning as it is - TODAY. My mind then started a journey into time. TO THE DAYS WE SHARED AS A TEAM - WITH THE BOYS. Our challenges & our high 5s when we finally surmounted them.
I have seen smooth-faced young man turn into bearded men. I have equally seen them start off as assistants on sites. Pushing wheel barrows of materials. Digging with picks & shovels. Today, I see the confident Afrikans they have become. A confidence born out of the skills they have gained during our shared time together.
I am not surprised at all, at what they have become. Aren't we the descendants of the black builders of the pyramids in Sudan, Egypt & the rest of the world? Are we not the descendants of the great stone builders of Great Zimbbwe? In short, is construction not in our genes?
