Stanford University came to Beyond Clothing.
Something serious just happened in Aba.
Stanford University came to Aba.
Yes — that Stanford you hear about in America.
Stanford Seed came to Beyond Clothing, and for us this is a very big deal.
Why is it a big deal?
Because Stanford is the same university that shaped the minds of people who built companies like Google, Nike, Netflix, PayPal and LinkedIn.
People like Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who built Google.
People like Phil Knight, who left Stanford and started a small shoe business that later became the global brand we know today as Nike.
Because Stanford has helped produce so many great entrepreneurs, governments around the world invite them to come and help train their business leaders on how to build companies that can grow and scale.
And now… Stanford is here in Aba, inside our factory.
They came to teach us from the same type of business curriculum that helped shape some of those global companies.
That was why we rolled out the red carpet to welcome
Dr. Sade Olufemi-Ayoola, PhD, a Stanford Seed lecturer.
Dr. Sade spent the whole day with us.
She reviewed our management system.
She questioned our structure.
She spoke with our leadership team.
She showed us how to build stronger systems.
And she began to guide us on how to prepare Beyond Clothing for scale.
This is a 10-month program, and we are just getting started.
But I can already tell you something —
Beyond Clothing will not remain the same after this.
To my fellow entrepreneurs — especially in the South East and South South — if you are serious about growing your business, build structure.
Put proper systems in place.
And if you ever get the chance to join the Stanford Seed program, take it.
It is not free. We paid for it.
But about 90% of the cost is subsidized, and even getting accepted is not easy.
We applied for three years before we were finally admitted this year.
So if you are truly hungry to grow your business, go to the Stanford Seed website and apply.
It might just change the way you think about business forever.
Thank you Stanford Seed.
