My people, this is our local pear, known as Ube in Igbo land. It is one of the best fruits God has blessed us with. Many people enjoy eating it because of its rich taste and soft texture. Once the season comes, every home looks forward to eating fresh ube.

The good thing about ube is that you can eat it in different ways. Some people enjoy it raw when it is ripe. Others pour hot water on it for a few minutes to make it soft, while some roast it gently over fire. No matter how you prepare it, the taste is always sweet, creamy, and satisfying. It goes very well with roasted or boiled corn, and many people cannot resist that delicious combination.

Apart from its wonderful taste, ube is also packed with nutrients. Today I'm spraying a grass-killing chemical on this farmland to destroy the weeds before planting rice. This is one of the most important stages of rice farming because if you plant rice without clearing the weeds, the grass will compete with the rice for water, nutrients, sunlight, and space. That will reduce your harvest.
As you can see in this video, I'm carefully spraying the chemical across the entire field so that the weeds will dry up completely. After a few days, the land will be clean and ready for rice planting. This method also saves time and reduces the stress of cutting grass by hand.
If you want to become a successful rice farmer, don't rush into planting. Prepare your land properly first. A well-prepared farm gives your rice a better chance to grow healthy and produce a good harvest.
