StackLabs and Spacetech sign MoU to support startups and SMEs with data protection compliance services.

In this partnership, StackLabs bring its convening power within the innovation ecosystem to bear while Spacetech Data Insight Ltd, a licensed Data Protection Compliance Organization (DPCO) will support the startups and SMEs through data protection compliance programmes and processes.

Speaking during the signing of the MoU, both companies agreed and set a target to support 100 businesses before the end of 2026.

Daisi Omokungbe, founder of StackLabs, said the partnership was in the best interest of the startups and SMEs operating within Nigeria’s digital economy and the need to for them to comply with Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Funmilola Adetuwo, chief executive officer of Spacetech, said the MoU was a welcome development and an opportunity to get startups complied data protection law in Nigeria.

AIEC 3.0 was focused on helping startups and SMEs to improve their data protection practices and compliance.

Our expert guest speaker from the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) broke down how startups and SMEs can strengthen their data protection and governance as well as pursuing compliance with the NDPC.

Last week during the AIEC 3.0, we hosted Ms Lydia Ogba, Esq, from the Nigeria Data Protection Committee (NDPC) who delivered an expert session on “Responsible Data Protection Practices for Startups and SMEs”.

It was an interactive session where founders, innovators and entrepreneurs learned and asked practical questions on how their organizations can achieve data protection compliance.
