Chapter One: The Peaty Predicament
Baba Ijebu Greet all of una;
I remember one my early 2000s works
Inside one small village wey dey surrounded by green hills and fine trees, there be one plot of land wey dey wait for one grand mansion to stand on top. But this land get one kain problem wey dey make people scratch their head like dem dey find lice for dia hair.
For this land, na peaty soil dey reign supreme. No be the soil wey strong like man, but the one wey soft like butter and dey swallow anything wey stand on top am. E be like say na ground wey done chop too much ogbono soup.
One day, for this same land, dem gather one team of architects, engineers, and builders wey dem wan put hands together to solve this peaty problem. But e be like say the land dey laugh for dia back, dey whisper say, "Good luck o, una go need am."
As the team gather for the site, na so dem see say the soil no dey gree make anything waka pass am. Trucks wey dey carry materials come dey sink like person wey drink too much ogogoro for one night. Na so dem dey use rope and winch dey drag truck like say na stubborn goat wey no wan follow instruction.
The more the team dey try bring materials, na so e be like person wey dey fetch water with basket. Na so frustration dey high, tempers dey flare, and the peaty soil dey just dey look dem like say dem be comedy show wey dem dey watch for TV.
But the team no gree give up. Na so dem come gather for one corner, dey yarn as dem try figure out how dem go take solve this wahala. Some say make dem bring in helicopters, others talk say make dem use magic. But for the end, na determination and ogbonge brain work carry the day.
As night fall, the team come dey waka go back to their homes, with the peaty soil dey laugh for dem back, dey say, "Una think say e easy? Una never see anything." But little dem know say, na the beginning of the end for the peaty problem.
