Most businesses don't fail because of a bad idea. They fail because of these 4 blind spots. 👇
After studying what separates businesses that *last* from the ones that flame out, it comes down to this:
1. Sell what people NEED and not just what you love making/doing.
Nobody pays for your passion project. They pay for solutions. Find the gap, fill it, and give them a reason to pick you over the other guy, whether its (speed, price, quality) pick your lane and own it.
2. Cash is king. Never forget it.
If it costs you $5 to make, don't sell it for $4.
Sounds obvious but yet it's the #1 killer of small businesses worldwide. Price for profit. Bank for the storm. Always have a cushion for the slow months.
3. Stay light on your feet
The market doesn't care how attached you are to your original plan/idea. If it's not working, kill it and move on — fast. And stop drowning in busywork. Protect your time for what actually drives revenue.
4. You can't do it all and therefore you shouldn't try..
Are you bad with numbers? Hire someone who isn't. Treat your team like they matter (because they do and they'll go to war for a business that respects them).
Also find a mentor. Someone's already made the mistakes you're about to make — learn from them instead.
The formula is simple:
Real Solution + Smart Pricing + Sharp Ex*****on + People Who've Got Your Back = A Business Built to Last.
