We are pleased to announce the successful commissioning of a 1 × 50 MVA, 225/33 kV Power Transformer at the 225/30 kV Substation in Nkolbisson, Yaoundé, Cameroon. This achievement includes the installation of the HV & LV bays, CRP, and SAS systems under the LOT1 Yaoundé project.

🎉 Another Milestone Achieved: Commissioning of Mayobelwa 330/132/33kV Substation 🎊
NETAP TR3 Lot 1– World Bank Funded Project
We are pleased to announce the successful commissioning of the Mayobelwa 330/132/33kV Substation under the NETAP TR3 Lot 1 Project on 15th January’2026, a World Bank–funded initiative awarded by TCN-PMU, Nigeria.
The Mayobelwa Substation scope includes:
⚡ 2 ×150MVA Power Transformers
⚡ 1 ×60MVA Power Transformer
⚡ 1 ×75MVAr Reactor
⚡ 330kV Transmission Line In & Line Out, including associated 330kV transmission line towers
This milestone significantly strengthens the Northern Region’s transmission network, improving system reliability, increasing capacity, and enhancing voltage stability across Mayobelwa, Yola, and surrounding areas.
The commissioning activities comprised comprehensive pre-commissioning tests, protection relay coordination, and performance verification. All parameters met the required operational standards, and the transformers was successfully energized and synchronized to the grid without incident.
Executed in strict compliance with industry standards and safety protocols, this project was made possible through close collaboration between TCN, local implementation teams, OEM technical experts, and other stakeholders.

* Reduced load stress on existing transformers
* Improved voltage stability within the northern transmission network
* Enhanced system redundancy and operational flexibility
* Increased capacity to support future industrial and commercial load growth

We’re excited to announce a major milestone! 🎉

Our client, SONATREL Cameroon, has successfully evacuated nearly 70 MW of power from the Nachigal Dam through our two 225 kV line bays at Nkolnkomou Substation under the LOT-1 Yaoundé Project (22.11.2025). ⚡

This achievement follows our completion of four 225 kV line bays, along with the extension of twin 225 kV systems, CRB, SAS, and more at Nkolnkomou Substation — all commissioned on no-load on 07.06.2025.

We’re proud to share that our team has successfully commissioned three (03) 90 kV Hybrid Modules, along with CRP/SAS line bay extensions, at the Deido, Ngodi Bakoko, and Bonaberi Substations in Cameroon.

Completed on 14th, 15th, and 16th November 2025, these milestones mark key progress under our LOT2 Douala Project for SONATREL.
