Electric shock

I know what electric shock is from theory (as a brilliant mind who studied electrical engineering) and from practical electric shock. I want to talk about it from the latter, so let me use pidgin English because when I was under the shock, I did not speak good English. In fact, I did not know what I was saying. But I know it was not in English.

Well, I must let you know that when I was a teen, my friends once laughed at me that my pidgin English was incorrect after I had said something to them. I blushed but have never stopped to question why they thought Pidgin had a correct version. I thought it was broken English. Is there a better way to break English? Anyway, now, I am good at breaking it.

So, one day, I say make I use a ring boiler boil water. I come put water inside plastic jog. As the water boil, I off the switch of the socket, i no remove the plug from socket, come carry my hand carry the boiler. i no know how my hand take touch the boiler, na so the thing move my hand go the point of the boiler where the thing coil.

that time wey the thing move my hand, my hand don move the water throway for my leg, but because current dey flow for my body, i no feel the pain of the boiled water.

na God save me that day. Somehow, something come dey move dey go back so that the wire of the boiler cone stretch pull out from the socket, na so i fly hit myself against watin dey kitchen.

na that time i realize say my leg don peel like chicken wey you pour hot water. the pain i suffer na watin oyibo dey call 'excruciating pains'. Thank god say my elder sister na nurse wey sabi. Na she wey come kitchen come see, because immediately i get myself, I just calm myself despite the pain. I was groaning in pain (I no fit talk this one with pidgin, the pain was much). I still have the scar unto this day. Anytime I see the scar, it reminds me of the mercies of God.

This is a true-life story.

Now, there is a device that would have prevented this almost lethal case.
That is why, as an electrical engineer and a brilliant one, I give attention to details when I do designs and installations. I stick to the code of conduct and international regulations as stipulated by the IEEE.

Consult an electrical engineer. It is always better.

Don’t just hire someone who installs panels.
Hire someone who understands power because solar works best when it is properly planned.

When systems fail, it is rarely the sun’s fault—it is poor design, wrong sizing, or shortcuts taken during installation.

We take time to understand your needs before touching your roof.
We design for real conditions: heat, long outages, future expansion, and everyday use.
That is why our systems remain reliable long after installation.

We don’t guess.
We calculate.
We don’t oversell.
We recommend only what you truly need.

When we install, we do it once—and we do it right.
Your money is protected, your system is safe, and your power is dependable.

Anyone can mount panels.
Not everyone can build a solar system that lasts.
If you want power you can trust, you already know who to call.

We Care about you.

@ CEOAXIS, we give attention to details methodically.

First, we design before we install.
We do not just mount panels and hope for the best. We start by understanding your energy needs, load profile, growth plans, and budget. That means no undersized system, no wasted money, and no “we’ll fix it later” stories.

Second, We understand the engineering behind the system.
Solar is not magic—it’s physics, electronics, and good system design. From panel selection, inverter sizing, battery chemistry, protection devices, earthing, surge protection, to cable losses and safety standards—we know what each component is doing and why it is there. Your system works efficiently, safely, and lasts longer.

Third, we build systems for real life, not brochure conditions.
Nigeria’s heat, dust, grid instability, and usage patterns are different. We design for outages, future expansion, and harsh conditions—not just “standard test conditions” on paper.

Fourth, we don’t disappear after installation.
We explain your system in simple terms, train you on usage, and make sure you can detect issues early. If something goes wrong, you’re not stranded wondering who to call.

Finally, we treat your money like my own.
If solar is not the best solution for your exact need, we’ll tell you. If a smaller or smarter setup works better, we recommend it. Trust matters more than one job.

Electrical Home Safety
Know the Hazards, Take Precautions, Stay Safe

Electrical hazards can be found in every home, but with a little knowledge and some common-sense precautions, you can keep your family and home safe from electrical dangers.

Common Electrical Hazards

i. Frayed or damaged cords: These can cause sparks or shocks.

ii. Overloaded outlets: This can cause overheating and fire.

iii. Never use electrical appliances near water, and make sure all outlets in bathrooms and kitchens are properly grounded.

iv. Exposed wires: These can cause shocks or fires.

v. Using extension cords incorrectly: Extension cords should only be used for temporary purposes. Never plug a high-wattage appliance into an extension cord, and make sure the cord is rated for the appliance's wattage.

Tips for Electrical Home Safety

i. Have your home inspected by a qualified electrician every year. This will help to identify any potential electrical hazards.
GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlets should be installed in all bathrooms, kitchens, and garages. These outlets can help to prevent electrical shocks.

ii. Never use electrical appliances in wet conditions.
Turn off appliances and unplug them when not in use.

iii. Do not overload outlets. Teach children about electrical safety.
Have a fire escape plan in place.

What to Do in Case of an Electrical Emergency

i. Turn off the power to the affected area.
ii. Do not touch the victim or the electrical source.
iii. Call CEOAXIS LIMITED immediately.
