STRUCTURAL PROGRESS UPDATE

Ongoing works at the Maimalari Military Cantonment project include the curing of recently cast slabs to ensure proper strength development and long-term durability. Controlled curing methods are maintained to prevent surface cracking and support optimal concrete performance.

Blockwork for the first floor is also in progress, with careful attention to alignment, bonding and level accuracy to maintain structural consistency across all units.

In addition, mechanical and electrical piping installations are being integrated within the first-floor framework, ensuring coordinated service routing prior to subsequent structural activities. Reinforcement works for the continuous columns are equally underway, guaranteeing proper load transfer from upper levels to the foundation.

Each activity is executed in line with approved structural drawings and engineering standards.

🚧 PROJECT PROGRESS – JIGAWA 🚧

Construction is advancing steadily on the One (1) x 2-Bedroom 30 Family Corporal and Below Quarters project.

Following the excavation of foundation and pit trenches, concrete blinding was carried out to provide a clean and level base for structural works. Reinforcement was then carefully fixed in accordance with approved structural specifications. This was subsequently followed by the casting of foundation concrete and column bases, forming the primary load-bearing components of the structure.

Each stage from excavation to blinding, reinforcement placement and concrete casting has been executed in strict compliance with engineering standards to ensure durability, strength and long-term performance.

We continue to make measurable progress as the project advances to the next phase.

CONCRETE CASTING STAGE – SLABS, COLUMNS & BEAMS

This stage involves the placement and casting of concrete for structural slabs, columns and beams in accordance with approved structural specifications. Prior to casting, reinforcement and formwork are thoroughly inspected to ensure proper alignment, stability and compliance with design requirements.

Concrete is carefully mixed, poured and vibrated to eliminate air voids and achieve optimal compaction, ensuring strength, durability and uniformity throughout the structural elements. Proper curing methods are then implemented to support strength development and prevent surface defects.

REINFORCEMENT, FORMWORK & MEP COORDINATION STAGE

This stage involves the detailed placement of steel reinforcement for slabs, beams and staircase elements in strict accordance with approved structural drawings and load requirements. Proper bar spacing, lapping, anchorage lengths and tying are carefully executed to ensure structural strength, stability and long-term performance.

Formwork installation is done to provide the necessary support and shape for concrete elements. The formwork is aligned, leveled and securely braced to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface quality during casting.

At this phase, mechanical and electrical piping are also integrated within the structural framework. Conduits, sleeves and service routes are strategically positioned before concrete placement to ensure seamless service distribution without compromising structural integrity.

This stage involved a series of critical activities, including:

✔️ Surface treatment
