INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP: TURNING IDEAS INTO OPPORTUNITIES

Innovation starts with a problem; entrepreneurship turns the solution into value.

For young businesses, having a great idea is only the beginning. The real opportunity lies in understanding your customer, testing your solution, learning from failure, building a sustainable business model, and continuously improving.

Under the leadership of Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) places strong emphasis on creating an ecosystem where innovators can move beyond ideas into practical ventures, with access to incubation, mentorship, infrastructure, partnerships, market opportunities and pathways towards commercialisation.

Don’t build just because you can—build because it solves something.

Today’s emerging entrepreneurs must think beyond simply launching a product. They must think about value, customers, resilience, sustainability, scale and impact.

Entrepreneurship is about turning innovation into opportunity—creating solutions that people need, businesses that can survive, and technologies that can make a measurable difference.

NBTI’s role is to help bridge the gap between innovation and enterprise, connecting promising ideas with the support, knowledge, resources and opportunities needed to transform them into viable businesses.

Because a great idea becomes truly valuable when it moves from concept to solution, solution to enterprise, and enterprise to impact.

NBTI: BUILDING USEFUL TECHNOLOGY 🚀

Your ideas can do more than impress—they can solve real problems.

At the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), we believe true innovation is about turning bold ideas into useful technologies that improve lives, create opportunities, strengthen communities, and drive national development.

From the first spark of an idea to prototyping, product development, commercialisation, and real-world impact, NBTI is helping innovators transform creativity into solutions that work—and ideas into opportunities that matter.

Because innovation is not just about having a great idea.
It is about building something useful with it.

Think it. Build it. Test it. Scale it. Change the world with it.

NBTI: THE CENTRE OF THE INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM

Great ideas need the right ecosystem to grow.

Innovation is not a lonely journey. It thrives where people, knowledge, technology, mentorship, funding, infrastructure, industry and opportunity come together.

At the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), we are building and strengthening that ecosystem—connecting your creativity with the support, resources, expertise and partnerships you need to transform bold ideas into real solutions.

Dream boldly. Build intelligently. Believe in what your ideas can become.

Your journey can begin with one idea and grow into something the world remembers.

NBTI helps young innovators move from possibility to reality—from an idea in your mind to a solution with measurable impact.

Your community can be your starting point.
Nigeria can be your proving ground.
Africa can be your next frontier.
And the world can be your marketplace.

NBTI is at the centre of the ecosystem, helping to connect the dots, open doors and create pathways for innovation to thrive.

But you—the young innovator—are at the centre of the future.

NBTI: Connecting Ideas. Enabling Innovation. Creating Impact.
