Globus Enterprises Ltd is a tannery outfit established in 1988 and commenced operations in 1990. It is located at plot 49 Challawa Industrial Estate, in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano state, Nigeria. The company is engaged mainly in the production of goat and sheep skins from raw to crust and finished articles for the shoe industry and other leather products in the local and international
markets. The tanning process involves the use of vegetable and non-vegetable chemicals to produce crust leather and finished leather. The process begins at the puddles where the skins are soaked overnight and run to remove the hairs. The next stage is where the skins are fleshed and then returned to the drums for conversion into wet-blue. Thereafter, the skins are selected, returned to the drums and converted into crust using mainly vegetable materials. Our installed capacity produces 1,200,000 sq. of leather monthly with a workforce of 500 staff. Our main focus is converting medium quality raw skins to top class finished leathers using our superior experience and know-how. The share capital of the company is currently 10,000,000 shares but the company is now in the process of increasing the share holding to 50,000,000 shares. The company plans to go fully public by offering its shares to local and international investors.
