for over thirty years. Raymond Chen ventured into business working first for his father as the General Manager of Southatlantic Mining Construction and Engineering Co. Ltd where he learnt a little in Commercial Farming, Mining and Trading. During his time here, he developed several management systems such as the time card system for the farm workers. Shortly after, he took up apprenticeship with Max Glory Nigeria Limited, a company owned by his cousin, Mr. Ben Chen and there learnt Trading and the Furnishing and Finishing businesses. Chen was in charge of over seeing projects as well as personally drafting and presenting quotations and letters to the top notch clients of the company. Raymond Chen worked as the Assistant Managing Director for Keffi Mining & Industry Co. Ltd, a relatively new quarry company located in Keffi, Nasarawa State. Chen during his time here developed the management system for the company, ensured the installation of machines went without delay, and acted as the link between the Chinese partner and the Nigerian partner. After working for a year without being paid his wages, Mr. Raymond Chen felt it was time to set up his own company. With the little money he had saved up, he registered Raymond Chen Industries Limited with a share capital of Five Million Naira (N 5,000,000.00) Only. Using past business contacts and experience combined with hard work, honesty and integrity, Mr. Raymond Chen has built a reliable client base within such a short period of time.
