📢Successfully completed a major maintenance and upgrade project on a Central Cooling Air-Conditioning System (Water Chiller) for a hotel in Lagos.

The project involved the removal of a faulty compressor and the supply and installation of a new Bitzer CSH8563-125Y compressor, along with comprehensive servicing and modernization of the system controls.

Scope of Work:

✅ Removal of faulty compressor
✅ Supply and installation of Bitzer CSH8563-125Y compressor
✅ Complete servicing of the water chiller and associated system
✅ Removal of all existing components from the old control panel
✅ Design and fabrication of a new control panel
✅ Installation of a new PLC-based control system
✅ Installation of a new display/HMI for improved monitoring and operation
✅ Installation and configuration of all control, protection, and electrical components
✅ Testing, commissioning, and operational verification of the complete system

This upgrade enhances the reliability, automation, monitoring, protection, and overall performance of the hotel’s central cooling air-conditioning system.

Another successful project completed with a focus on quality engineering, precision, reliability, and efficient cooling performance.

Successful Overhauling of Bitzer CSH9553-180Y Compressor

We recently completed the full overhauling of a Bitzer CSH9553-180Y semi-hermetic screw compressor, restoring it to peak performance and extending its operational life. This critical maintenance work involved:
• Full disassembly and inspection
• Replacement of worn components (bearings, new built-in motor, discharge fl**ge, new pressure control valve, terminal plate, bering cover, piston rod, gaskets, seals, etc.)
• Precision cleaning and alignment
• Painting

12 months warranty period


The compressor is now back in service, operating efficiently and reliably—ready to meet the demanding cooling requirements it was designed for.

On going project in an offshore zone, specifically on an oil field construction barge.

1. Replacement of 8 Condenser Coils:
• Scope: Replacing the condenser coils for chiller N1, which is equipped with a Bitzer CSH 9573-180Y compressor.
• Test leak- pressure test of all 3 units with Nitrogen.
• Rectification of leakages on units N2 & N3
• Procedure:
• Pumpdown and recovering of existing refrigerant in the system safely (following all safety and environmental regulations).
• Remove the old condenser coils.
• Install the new condenser coils and ensure they are properly aligned and fitted.
2. Compressor Servicing (Bitzer CSH 9573)
• Scope: Servicing of all 3 Nos Bitzer CSH9573 compressors to ensure it’s operating at optimal efficiency. Using Bitzer oil BSE170 ONLY!!!
• Procedure:
• Inspect the compressor for any signs leaks.
• Replace necessary components, such as the oil filter, seals, and gaskets.
• Check refrigerant levels and top up if necessary.
• Run diagnostic tests to ensure the compressor operates smoothly after servicing.
3. System Check:
• After replacing the condenser coils and servicing the compressor, it’s essential to:
• Test the system for refrigerant leaks with gas leak detector.
• Perform an operational check, including monitoring pressures, temperatures, and system performance.
• Ensure that all controls and safety mechanisms are functioning correctly.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
• Document all work completed, including the serial numbers of the new condenser coils and any parts replaced.
• Provide detailed service reports for future maintenance reference.
5. Safety Considerations:
• Ensure that all safety procedures are followed during the refrigerant handling and equipment servicing.
• Work in compliance with offshore regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE and following hazard control protocols.

Another compressor 4JE-15Y delivered to our Service Center.
We were informed that compressor tripps off due to high amps immediately after start. Reasons could be many but in this case we have Compressor Mechanical Issue
Mechanical problems, such as worn bearings, seized components, or internal damage, can cause the compressor to draw more amperage.
Here we have liquid flood back to the compressor and mechanical damages

Received Bitzer compact screw compressor CSH9573-180Y with following customer’s report “winding failure”. Compressor was fully disassembled for further inspection on the mechanical components as standard procedure.
Findings:
*Burnt stator winding: Winding damaged due to overload thermal deterioration of the insulation in all phases of the stator winding typically is caused by load demands exceeding the rating of the motor. In this case the reason is mechanical failure which reflects on the winding.
*The magnet indicates presence and of metal particles (worn metal parts) in the liubricant.
*damaged set of screws (male & female rotors) because of friction
* damaged discharge fl**ge, housing & slider.
