One thing that we have consistently observed from years of working in the solar industry is this:
Most people who can comfortably afford large solar systems are often the most disciplined when it comes to energy management, while some of those who managed to install smaller systems sometimes treat solar like unlimited electricity.
We have a client running a 40KVA solar system with a 60KWh energy storage setup. When you visit his home, you might not even realize there’s constant power available, except for the diffuser quietly running in the sitting room. Every other appliance is turned ON only when needed and turned off immediately after use, including lighting points.
On the other side of the users' divide, some believe that once they install just a few solar panels, energy management no longer matters. Bulbs stay on all day, even under bright afternoon sunlight with the common explanation “they are energy-saving bulbs, they don’t count as load.” 😏
Here’s the truth:
Solar power is not magic power. It rewards discipline, planning, and responsible usage.
The size of your system matters, but your energy habits matter even more. A well-managed small system can outperform a poorly managed big one.
Solar gives freedom from unreliable power, but wisdom is what makes that freedom sustainable.
Use energy wisely. Let solar work for you, not against you.
