A drop-down beam is a beam that extends below the slab instead of being flush with it.

Without slope, water ponds, adds weight, breeds mosquitoes, and soaks into the concrete causing leaks and rusted rebar.

A fall of 1cm per meter is enough. Flat gutters overflow during heavy rain, stain your walls, and crack the concrete over time.
If water can't run, the gutter fails.
