Today on World Entrepreneurs’ Day, I share my thoughts on a post I was mentioned by The African Energy Council on the Federal Government of Nigeria’s plan to sustain improved gas supply to West Africa and as well celebrate the resilience, creativity, and relentless spirit of entrepreneurs across the globe who are the real vehicle of socio-economic growth and development.
Firstly, the right mindset towards entrepreneurship is that of statehood. You are a vehicle of sustainable development and value creation and your success is highly necessary for the state and its citizens to find lasting success and development.
For instance, the federal government’s plan to sustain improved gas supplies to West Africa will be primarily driven and executed by enterprises who have aligned their vision with sustainable long term value creation. I believe this plan very much will eradicate energy poverty across west Africa as well as help attain the UN SDG 7 goal via reduced gas flaring. It’s a new challenge and opportunity for more energy SME’s to work with the government to achieve this goal.
At Hugheston Energies, we know firsthand that building something meaningful requires persistence — walking through failures without losing enthusiasm, just as Winston Churchill rightly said and we are always ready and committed to work with the government and private stakeholders in achieving this goal.
Behind every thriving business is a story of courage, setbacks, and breakthroughs. This day is a reminder that with determination and vision, possibilities are limitless.
Here’s to every entrepreneur shaping industries, creating opportunities, developing nations and fueling progress.
