26th January 2026, the IFC - International Finance Corporation, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and other partner organisations held the Cooling Day Nigeria event following the publishing of the Tech Emerge Sustainable Cooling Innovation Program ; Results and Lessons Learned. Read more in IFC’s new report: https://lnkd.in/eTzvAEY2

Tech Emerge marked our first engagement with the IFC in 2021 when we were shortlisted amongst the 13 companies from 70 applications. The pilots enabled Eja-Ice Ltd bring our cooling van sketch to live and a viable commercial asset enabling temperature sensitive food distribution. 4 years on from the initial pilot Eja-Ice has been awarded 3 patents, commercialised our products and scaled design from tricycles to vans.

The program matched 40 cooling technology innovators with 51 corporates, and field tested 82 pilots of high efficiency cooling solutions. Eja-Ice was allocated 5 projects across Nigeria and Kenya and where all delivered successfully.

It was indeed a honor to host over 150 participants from Cooling Day at our manufacturing facility in Lagos to showcase our cold chain solutions.
