TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited, in partnership with NNPC Limited, CNOOC, SAPETRO, and Meren 234, has officially handed over a state-of-the-art, fully equipped science laboratory facility to Government Secondary School, Kuje. Marking the first facility of its kind in the entire council area, this initiative is designed to transition science education from classroom theory to practical, hands-on learning.

The newly commissioned facility features five specialized laboratories:
🧪 Chemistry
⚡ Physics
🧬 Biology
🌱 Agriculture
🍳 Home Economics

Equipped with modern laboratory apparatus, teacher workstations, secure storage, and essential utilities, the facility creates an optimal environment to nurture the next generation of STEM professionals, innovators, and leaders.

Delivering the goodwill message on behalf of Managing Director Matthieu Bouyer, Mrs. Moyosola Ar**la, Acting General Manager, CSR, highlighted the strategic purpose of the investment:
"The project reflects the company’s commitment to expanding access to quality education and strengthening STEM foundations in Nigeria."

Out of over 9,000 competitive applicants, six exceptional Nigerian scholars have been selected for the TotalEnergies International Scholarship Programme. Before departing for their postgraduate studies in France, the beneficiaries met with Country Chair & Managing Director, TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited, Matthieu Bouyer, to receive insights on leadership, consistency and personal growth.

Our scholars will be pursuing advanced studies across top French institutions, specialising in cutting-edge fields that will help shape the future, including Robotics, Data Science, Process Engineering, Sustainable Industrial Engineering and Supply Chain Optimisation.

On August 31, 2026, company executives, labour leaders, and industry stakeholders gathered at The Wheatbaker, Lagos, to celebrate the remarkable tenure of Festus Osifo, immediate past President of PENGASSAN and current President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) of Nigeria. The reception also provided a platform to officially welcome Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro as he steps into his new role as PENGASSAN President.

Centering on the theme "Legacy, Impact, Exceptional, Purposeful Leadership and Resilience," the evening served as a tribute to a tenure defined by progress. Under Mr. Osifo’s leadership, PENGASSAN strengthened collective bargaining agreements across more than 100 branches nationwide, championed local capacity development, protected industry jobs, and elevated workers' welfare in national discourse.

As Festus Osifo continues his stewardship at the national level with the TUC, the entire energy sector celebrates his legacy of data-driven, constructive engagement while wishing Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro maximum success as he guides PENGASSAN into its next chapter.
