We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team and steer our financial strategy as we scale operations.
Location: Obanikoro, Lagos, Nigeria (On-site, with potential for hybrid arrangements)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management to ensure fiscal health and regulatory compliance.
2. Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives, including expansion in baking production and supply chain optimization.
3. Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements, audits, and tax filings in compliance with Nigerian accounting standards and international best practices.
3.Manage risk assessment, internal controls, and financial modeling to support decisions in procurement (e.g., grains, nuts, seeds) and investment in agro-processing equipment.
4. Collaborate with the executive team on fundraising, investor relations, and strategic partnerships to fuel business growth.
Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
5. Analyze market trends in the food and bakery industry to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
6. Ensure adherence to corporate governance, ethical standards, and sustainability in financial practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, ICAN, CPA) preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CFO or equivalent) in food processing, manufacturing, or agri-business.
Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and strategy in a fast-growing company.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, IFRS, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
Demonstrated success in managing audits, fundraising, and investor relations in emerging markets.
Required Skills:

Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel modeling.
