It was a night of back-to-back wins for Transcorp Group at the 2025 PEARL Awards, which held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Transcorp Group emerged winner of the 2025 Sectorial Leadership – Conglomerates Award, while our President/GCEO, Dr. Owen D. Omogiafo, OON, was honoured as the 2025 PEARL CEO of the Year, making her only the second female CEO to have received this prestigious recognition in the last three decades.

As we celebrate these milestones, we are reminded that for us at Transcorp Group, winning is only the beginning. Our true impact lies in our mission to improve lives and transform Africa.

Speaking on how large companies can better integrate entrepreneurs into their operations at the Bloomberg Africa Business Summit, our President/GCEO, Dr. Owen Omogiafo, OON ( ) advocated for the need for access to opportunities and entrepreneurship enabling environments for Africa’s vibrant youths .

At Transcorp, through the Transcorp Power Vocational Skills Programme in Ughelli, the Women’s Business Empowerment Programme in Abuja , the Transcorp Intern X program, we continue to empower the next generation with the right skills needed to succeed.

At the Bloomberg Africa Business Summit, held earlier today, our President/GCEO, OON, joined leaders across the continent to discuss how Africa’s youth potential can be turned into entrepreneurial growth.

She further emphasised that while opportunites that exist in Africa abounds, they must be matched with the right structure and intentional alignment.

Watch How We Did the Unthinkable.

In 2024, we embarked on an unprecedented strategic mission aimed at enhancing power generation to the National Grid: the relocation of four of our eight trailer-mounted turbines from Afam Three Fast Power, Rivers State, to Ughelli, Delta State.

Faced with gas constraints which limited output in Afam, it became necessary that we need to do the extraordinary to fulfil our commitment to generating more megawatts for Nigerians. This project, carried out solely by indigenous engineers from start to finish, enabled the optimal use of our turbines, thereby providing an additional 120MW of power to the national grid.
